Now we're talking. Hotshot Racing is a game we've all been watching out for here at Push Square Towers, and the wait is very nearly over. This arcade racer, developed by Lucky Mountain Games and Sumo Digital, is finally drifting onto PlayStation 4 on 10th September 2020.
As you can see in the new trailer, this is a game heavily inspired by arcade racers of the 90s -- think Daytona USA, Virtua Racing, or the early Ridge Racer titles. By the looks of it, the feeling and aesthetic is on point here, and we're certainly down for some easygoing, powersliding gameplay. It's set to feature smooth performance, four-player split-screen, eight-player online, and plenty of solo content to blitz through.
Hotshot Racing is just a couple of weeks away, and will be available digitally for $19.99 / £15.99. Will you be hopping into the driver's seat? Slide sideways into the comments section below.

Oh yes! 4 player split screen!? Bring it on!
Fina-effing-lly. Been waiting forever. Had to make do with Formula Retro Racing on Xbox.
Yes! At last. Was hoping this was just around the corner after it missed the spring release date. Can't wait. Love Virtua Racing and it's ilk.
Sumo makes the best arcade racing games - Sega blue skies forever!
Played this on Xbox Preview, I thought it was a pretty throwaway game tbh.
Maybe good to play with some decent trophies otherwise wouldn’t play for long
If this really has good single player content, I'm more than game (no pun intended).
Looks awesome.
I was really looking forward to this but I've just watched a developer commentary and the frame rate looked bad.
