A new marketing puff piece, produced and released by Sony, showcases some of PlayStation’s biggest heroes alongside some of the organisation’s other major productions. Deacon St John from Days Gone stars with Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn and Kratos from God of War, as the increasingly entertainment focused firm shows off some of its most successful creations.
Also included in the trailer is Miles Morales from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, as well as Tom Hanks, who starred as Mr. Rogers in Sony’s critically acclaimed A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. While this is just a puff piece designed to flaunt the company’s creative output, it’s neat to see game characters put on the same pedestal as TV and movie stars.

well done... loved it
Very nice.
The article touches on something I've been thinking about for a while, about why I love playing games by PlayStation and Nintendo - one approaches games as an entertainment company, the other as something akin to a toy company, and I love both approaches.
Wait, Underworld was in that clip. Is that franchise getting a fresh push??? Please please pleaaasssssse
@Shepherd_Tallon I love Underworld. ☺️
Read that as Sony Snuff Piece. I was worried.
We just watched A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood yesterday. It surprisingly good, and it kinda got me. Not expecting that.
Cool video too!
I loved that trailer.
@Akurusu What are trying too say?
@Shepherd_Tallon Fun Fact The Black Dude Who Played The Lycan Raze in The First And Third Movies Co Created The Underworld Series.
@Akurusu Tom Hanks isn’t on Epstein’s flight logs. It’s an easily verifiable fact, which apparently won’t stop QAnon nutters from spreading it.
Very cool trailer. Liked it.
Fantastic trailer.
Some really, really good stuff there
@Shepherd_Tallon perfect description and why I have been a Nintendo and Sony dual console owner each generation since Sony entered the fray with PS1!
@nessisonett I'm not saying I know anything about Hanks, but Epstein isn't the only one who did this sort of thing for government or Hollywood stars. Lawrence E King ran Boys Town as a trafficking service for the White House. Here in England we had Savilles sicko service. I'm sure there are more out there, but just not been outed yet.
@Jayofmaya Saville’s Sicko Service is the Sun headline that never was... because the Sun were too busy partaking of the goods.
@nessisonett Didn't know that, but honestly wouldn't be surprising. Sadly, as long as the majority of people with money who indulge in this sickness get away with it then it will probably always be a thing.
@nessisonett Manhunt 3 confirmed to be PlayStation Timed Exclusive (sorry... Console Launch Exclusive), coming to PS7 2034.
For a minute I read that headline as "PlayStation Heroes Appear Alongside Tony Hawk's..." and thought some Sony characters were playable in the PS4 version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2!
It's actually depressing just how many people believe unverified stuff they see on the internet. On the plus side, those people aren't that clever and won't amount to much so swings and roundabouts...
@Gr8VngnzN4esAngr
Yup, the world is in a depressing place at the moment and unfortunately, stupid people don't realise they are stupid (not that I think anyone here is stupid incidentally), but the rise in ignorance of science in particular is baffling to me, whether it is flat-earthers, climate change deniers or anti vaxers, how can you ignore facts so easily?
On the plus side, you can lose yourself in some brilliant entertainment products to try and offset some of the negativity.
No Nathan Drake?
@Gr8VngnzN4esAngr Agreed. I truly believe angry uneducated/misinformed folk with an axe to grind online are a greater societal problem than the pandemic.
@Gr8VngnzN4esAngr those people still get to vote and their numbers are alarming, hence how certain politicians are elected.
@Gr8VngnzN4esAngr
Funny thing is that they never don't actually go after the actual creeps in Hollywood such as Bryan Singer.
@naruball I like the saying that 'the argument against democracy can be made by speaking to the average voter for 5 mins'.
It's normally attributed to Churchill but there's no evidence to suggest he ever said it.
I'm more of a Denzel Washington guy myself. Denzel IS THE MAN. He takes no ***** from anybody and never bows to mobs or trends. He was on the trailer by the way.
@Oscarjpc Hell yeah. The Equalizer is right there with John Wick imo.
As an aside, I really thought this would be the last place I'd see a comments section devolve into political purgatory. Y'all should be ashamed!😝
@iceno1 Nathan Drake story is done.
@4kgk2 still a PlayStation hero no? One of the reasons I got a PlayStation!
@Jayofmaya Wait a minute you make a false accusation because he is from Hollywood? Thats kinda nasty.
@Akurusu You have some proof or are you just calling people pedo for no reason?
@Flaming_Kaiser He has zero proof. But it's the beauty of the internet. You can attack anyone and face zero consequences. Facts don't matter anyway. Conspiracy youtube videos is all you need.
@naruball I know making that kind of accusation is not normal without proof.
@Lovespuds Yes, I lose myself every time I play a game and it's good to detach sometimes. That's what I love about games☺
@Flaming_Kaiser Sorry, but where did I do that? Not quite sure what you're referring to.
@doctommaso That's a majority of the population, sadly. Left, right doesn't matter, all are easily manipulated.
wth is a puff piece lol
