Since it was announced earlier this year, we haven't been totally sold on Outriders -- the loot-driven third person shooter from developer People Can Fly. But honestly, the more we see of it, the more we're starting to come around.
This latest gameplay from IGN is very looter shooter, but when paired with the publication's new preview, the premise is beginning to sound promising. It's being compared to the likes of Diablo and Mass Effect, with an emphasis on RPG mechanics such as diverse skill trees, character builds, and even dialogue options.
Outriders is still set to launch near the end of 2020 on PlayStation 5, and at this point we're actually quite excited to try it out for ourselves. But is this one on your radar yet? Duck behind cover in the comments section below.

This is actually starting to look pretty good now!
As the article states I wasn't overly bothered by this release but I am now thinking I might try this out especially if the PS5 library is a bit light at launch. All depends on how deep I get into Cyberpunk!!!
Looking good. Definitely on the PS5 list
Bullet sponge enemies, visual effects everywhere, everything is just seemingly playing the same.
This is Destiny 3?
Hope it have solid single player. Even watching this trailer makes me scream on other players: "Get out of my way! These are mine monsters! Go play your own game!"
@80sGamer It’s actually how the original idea of anthem was. Just heavier on survival mechanics.
But EA didn’t like it and liked some part where you were kind of flying and then decided to go all out on flying.
We can now basically see what anthem would have been if EA didn’t interfere.
Is it online only like destiny? I'm more interested in this game if it can be played offline like borderland 3. Although it seems there's quite a bit of long/open world games that I plan to buy on ps5 already, I hope I have time to play this game.
It's always looked good from the start to me.
This, Cyberpunk, and VTM2 are the titles I'm most looking forward to. (And, of course, Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6, if we ever hear anything about them.)
@LordSteev those are probably my top three too. Kinda itching for a big Bloodlines announcement as things have been frustratingly quiet for the past year. Really hoping it releases in time for console launch.
@theheadofabroom
Yeah, I'm getting worried VTM2's going to be delayed again. Not because of anything they've said, but because of what they haven't said. Each time they've released a new clip though, I have to say it's looking better and better. For my tastes, this year has been kinda short on good games. Late 2020 and 2021 are looking promising!
Man, it’s co-op looter-shooter-slasher-thirty on PS5 at launch. This still looks like something we’ve seen before a half-dozen times. Bring on the Demon’s Souls!!
@Ear_wiG yea, like we haven't seen Demon Souls type games a million times over.
@GamingVeteran Oh man, busted by the Gaming Veteran. Got me good. There's egg on my face. My face is red. Nailed me. Well done.
@LordSteev well unfortunately there's confirmation we're going to have to wait a little longer: https://twitter.com/VtM_Bloodlines/status/1293064749157167105?s=19
@theheadofabroom
Hah! Yea, I saw that. What, 2 days after we were talking about it? I'd laugh out loud if I wasn't so sad...
