Update: Sony's rolled out a 25 per cent discount on PlayStation Plus subscriptions in USA as well, meaning you can grab 12 months of service for $44.99. The same restrictions apply, so you'll need to be a new or lapsed member. And the deal will run through 8AM PT on 1st September.
Original Story: Sony’s knocked 25 per cent off the price of annual PlayStation Plus subscriptions in Europe, but you’ll need to hurry if you want to take advantage of the deal. The offer is available now until 1st September at 11AM BST, so you’ve got just about a week to utilise the £37.49 price point.
The deal does only apply to new or lapsed subscribers, so you can’t currently take advantage of the savings if you’re already subscribed to the service. Of course, if you’re planning to purchase a PlayStation 5 later in the year, there’s never been a better time to sign up.

It's always discounted somewhere. And if not, go buy it on Ebay discounted.
My PS+ runs out a few days after this deal ends, so I'll be unable to get it.
No thanks. Sony will never get me to subscribe. I am still somewhat hoping the rumour about Microsoft offering free online is true in hopes of a paradigm shift.
Big corporations always know how to reward their long term loyal customers by blocking them from special offers...
Yeah, if you pay more than £35 for the yearly sub you're doing it wrong.
@Kienda exactly. Same as Virgin media. Show a really good affer and then say new subscribers only. Its all for the money and they dont give 2 ***** about loyalty. Hey, atleast we got farming simulator for free this year 👌👌👌
@crimsontadpoles The subscription is stackable, so if you enter code now, it just prolongs your current period by given amount.
Ive never had plus considering it atm for my ps4 reckon it will still be worth a year's sub even if I'm not planning to get a ps5 (straight away anyway).
@MS7000 Keep dreaming my friend. Microsoft have already confirmed, they are not stopping "Gold" subscriptions. Besides, it's making them to much money.
there is a site that i go to when buying PS+ codes. a few months ago i just bought 2 years at 29 dollars a year.
Yep, I've managed to get a discount for past two or three years, always seems to be an opportunity.
@Kidfunkadelic83 yep, the big companies do it whether it is broadband or TV prices.
Just a tip on that though, if you are with Virgin (or Sky or TalkTalk etc), phone them and say you want to leave because it is too expensive and they will reduce your monthly cost. My wife does it every year and we pay a lot less than people I know who are a bit scared to ask.
It is a bad practice on their parts though and unfair that not everyone knows how to play their games.
I still pay monthly at £6.99 a pop because I'm a wally.
@Kienda Yeah, it's unfortunate that consoles are not like utiliity providers, and you can't shop around for a better deal elsewhere. They know that once you buy the console, you are a captive customer. I never understood how they got away with charging extra to play online, when we already pay for that via our internet providers; I suppose because we all let them get away with it
$45 for 1 years psplus is a bad deal, I usually got $31 for one years on cdkeys.com

@Texaschainsaw83 Where is the source?
Dailysteals.com has it for $39.99 or $35 with code ignpsn
@MS7000 Nice to hear.
