Considering it’s a PlayStation 5 launch game, we still don’t know anywhere near as much about Destruction AllStars as we’d anticipated. Sony failed to include the title in its recent next-gen showcase, and the initial trailer was more of a cinematic than a full-scale gameplay reveal. Judging by a recent sizzle trailer, we know the title will mix on-foot platforming (?) with car combat, but we’ll need to wait for more official information before we can conclude.
Fortunately, developer Lucid Games has released four new screenshots for us to ogle, which cram as many explosions and as much confetti as possible into each frame. How are you feeling about this game right now? Are you eager to learn more? Let us know in the comments section below.

It’s a game. It definitely is that. It exists.
From the little bit we’ve seen, this screams F2P, not 70$....hope it ends up doing well though!
I kinda wish it was a revamped Twisted Metal instead.
@nessisonett
It Exists.
Barely
For a moment I thought the titel said 4 man splitscreen
Still stikes me as PS Plus Fodder for launch
I thought this looked alright until you realise it's £70.
£70 for the next On Rush. Yay.
Its going to end up being like that Rocket game which no one played because it should have been free to play and not full price.
If i had to rank my interest for every game released at launch, this one is currently bottom of the list and with games costing £70 they need do a lot for me to be willing to spend that.
Have to be honest, I'm really, really surprised this isn't a f2p game, everything I saw screamed online f2p game. If it had been that I'd have probably given it a go when Sony finally remembers Sweden exists and sends it some consoles, probably around 2025. But I've not seen anything of it, and asking people to drop €80 or £70 on four screen shots and some dodgy promo video? Sony and Lucid are having a giraff. Not convinced SIE understand this online game malarky at all, and that's what this screamed at me. If it's a single player game they've done an awful job conveying that.
Still interested on playing the game but I'm really not a fan of the $70 price tag. Maybe $50 or $40 would have been fine but that's just my take.
well worth £70, bananas
Some harsh comments in here. I also expected this to be a cheaper digital download, but we clearly don't know the extent of the package.
Considering Sackboy is priced cheaper than, say, Demon's Souls, there's clearly more to this than we've seen so far. Hopefully it'll get a big blowout soon.
Who needs gameplay when these screens are more than enough? 70 dollars, no problem.
@OmegaStriver Do you honestly think that this is the last you'll see of Destruction AllStars before it's available to purchase on 12th November?
Would be awesome on ps+
@get2sammyb Nah man, just being sarcastic but it not having a showing at the event bothers me.
Whatever it is it's pretty. That's all I've got. Maybe with some more info I could form an opinion, but it's going to look sweet on YouTube once we get the inevitable LetsPlay series?
I want to see gameplay, but so far its looking pretty cool.
This will be a plus game in a year or so
Four screenshots 2 months before launch.
Yeaaaah!
😂😂😂
The particles in the first screenshot remind me of the leaves in Ghost of Tsushima.
Particles, when done right, can really elevate scenes in a game. Kingdom Hearts always had a lot of bright, colorful particles that really added to scenes and shots.
Ordered it , cant wait for this one!
@get2sammyb Hi is there a full list of Ps5 games ? I'm lost on was what will be available on and after launch day.
@AJDarkstar I got excited when I saw what looked like destruction derby. But that excitement died real fast when I saw the rest...
Are there single player mode in this game? It's weird we only see the trailers and that's it, where's the game previews? Also $70 is way too much for this game, especially if it's multiplayer only with mtx, looks at rocket league and fallguys, it need to be $20 price (or at $40 max because it's next-gen).
@TVRFLY Confirmed PS5 Launch Games (from gamespot):
Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Astro's Playroom
Demon's Souls
Destruction All Stars
Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition (Digital)
Fortnite
Godfall
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Observer: System Redux
Sackboy: A Big Adventure
Yeah, I really hope this will be the FULL package for this FREAKING 80€! That means full-fleshed, long singleplayer campaign (even 2 player co-op, like Twisted Metal), 4 player split-screen with many many fun multiplayer modes, and of course a ton of unlockables earned during normal gameplay (not grinding for hundreds hours): arenas, vehicles, characters, vehicle skins, parts- performance and visual... You get my point...
@get2sammyb thing is whose fault is it we've not seen more. We're going off of what Sony showed at the PS5 reveal event. So it's on them. As a free to play game with cosmetics micro-transactions and an in-game economy I thought I might give it a go. But the PS5 is out in 2 months, and at this stage they've not really shown me why it's worth €80's. Have they got time? Probably not because most people have already pre-ordered Demon's Souls and Miles Morales.
This game, along with Sackboy are not gonna sell well because of their price
@Suren1998 for people of a certain age, let's call it old, who might have little sacks of snot they are responsible for, I can assure you Sackboy's Big Adventure is quite an enticing game. Sit on the couch and play a game with your kids? Even as miserable and devoid of joy as I am, I can see the paternal joy in that. It's something Nintendo have realised since the days of the Wii, the kids who grew up with Nintendo in the 80's and 90's now have genetic offspring of their own. Sony too are in that position now. I'm not sure parent and kid games are a genre, but it's definitely a growing market segmentation, and if Sumo Digital have played it right Sackboy could be a sleeper hit.
£70 and it'll almost definitely be filled with microtransactions unless they pull them out last minute
I need to see more of this. Definitely has my interest but i need some things cleared up like how many modes? Is there a single player story mode? Are the microtransactions just cosmetic or with little timmy with Daddys credit card be able to get a diamond plated Humvee with a Devil Trigger day one?
@themcnoisy why is it £70 for us if it's $70 for them, wouldn't that equate to £60 for us?
@theMEGAniggle $70 doesn't include sales taxes, while £70 includes 20% VAT. Imagine that £70 was being advertised everywhere as £58 and you were expected just to know.
Like others, this screams plus game. It will have to be or its dead on arrival at 70 quid. why would you pay this when multiplayer lobbies will be empty and single player is likely to be negligible.
Its not harsh, its facts.
@theheadofabroom Ah yeah the old American don't include VAT in store prices, slipped my head. So essentially they're paying more than $70 then
