Counterplay Games has concluded development on PlayStation 5 console exclusive Godfall, ahead of its release on 12th November in the United States and select other territories; the melee based looter will launch on 19th November in other regions. Gearbox, who’s publishing the game, has promised more information on PS5 pre-orders in the near future.
This game’s been a fixture of the PS5’s launch line-up since it was announced as far back as last year, and you can get your best look at the title in action courtesy of an all-new combat trailer through here. If you want to know more about all PS5 launch games, then you’ll find that in our guide. Will you be picking this up day one? Cut us down in the comments section below.

I dont know what it is about this game but it just does not appeal to me at all. I'm sure it will be just fine and people will like it, but it is not even grasping a tiny bit of my attention.
@torne you need to watch the latest gameplay trailer mate
This game keeps growing on me. God willing I'll have a PS5 to play it this holiday.
@anon_pel222 yeah it looks a lot better from the initial reveal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kF2Q1__wvo
Yeah the new gameplay was really good. Definitely seems to have come together.
It looks better than previous trailers, but I'll focus on playing and finishing sony 1st party launch titles first (spidey mm and demons souls).
@anon_pel222 I definitely did watch it. It just isn't grabbing me.
As a fan of borderlands and that style of gameplat you would think i would enjoy it more but I just for some reason have 0 interest in it.
If this isn’t good then I demand a review with a subheading with the letters AW inserted in it’s title.
The new trailer made it go from absolute snoozefest to "maybe in a steam sale" since it's a multiplat. From a 0/10 interest to 1/10.
Im definitely getting this game.looks really good.love hack and slash games.word up son
@TheNewButler I actually pre ordered sackboy today along with miles morales.
Godfall just is not on my radar at all.
This game looks good, I mean I don't think the marketing was great, the overall game looks fun.
This game has fallen foul of trying too hard to get attention. It's been trying so hard to show off that I feel like I just want it to leave me alone. I'll wait for reviews and they would need to be super positive to get me interested now. I guess there really is a danger of pushing something too much.
My biggest question about it is what is is? Like is it a story focused game with cutscenes? Or is it an open world exploration game with no cutscenes? I’m just confused what the point of playing is other than to kill some things lol
@TheNewButler I'm definitely pre ordering Sackboy. The fact that it and Miles Morales are cross-gen kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but my prospects of getting a PS5 at launch are currently pretty bleak. So I'm thankful to have something to play this holiday.
Godfall has gone gold, that's great! 😃
... I don't know what that means! 😃
@TheNewButler Ahhh ok. Thanks!
Wait.. Is that an actual pure next gen exclusive? 😂
Jokes aside that's astro, destruction all stars, godfall and demon souls that are pure next gen exclusives, thats 4 more than the series X at launch
@playstation_king 3. The Medium is next gen/pc only. I'd even say 2 but I'm not sure on the Xbox date for Bright Memory Infinite.
@Menchi is the medium a launch game then
@playstation_king I believe so?
Or as I just saw someone else post, maybe not. I was going off the PC release date (November 3rd) since that is before the Xbox console launch.
Hi there fellow gamers. I have been following this title with a certain curiosity, since I´m a fan of these type of games and even though the game hasn´t had the best promotion, the latest combat trailer looks way better than previous ones.
But 80€ a game? I already have Spiderman: Miles Morales and Demon´s Souls pre-ordered along with the disc drive PS5.
But I´m still gonna be checking the game out.
Cheers, stay safe and happy gaming to us all
While its looking beautiful, but I am just getting Spiderman at launch. I will have a hard time not starting Cyberpunk 2077 on November 19th on PS5. Then we have Ratchet and Clank! We have no idea about PS+ if it will bring in some PS5 title. Might even scoop up my last few PS4 games if I find some low cost black Friday super sales on physical games I don't own.
Nice to see it's also launching on November 12! I'll be waiting for a deep sale on this, but the game does look good.
confirmed godfall launch title at £70, 1 less game to get then, waiting for complete edition with full season pass and price drop. definitely not worth the money. plus gearbox is involved, can see how that went with BL3.
o also just to put pricing in pespective, std ps5 £70 pc £50, DE Ps5 £85 pc £66, asc ed ps5 £100 pc £76.
