When the native PlayStation 5 version of Rainbow Six: Siege launches later this year, it will support 4K resolution and 120 frames-per-second. Current PlayStation 4 players will also receive a free upgrade to the next-gen version, with all progress and unlocks carrying over. This means that the popular FPS is one more for the list of Free PS5 Upgrades as well as PS5 games that support 120 frames-per-second. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and DIRT 5 are the other two titles that belong in the latter category for now.
Are you looking forward to playing an improved version of Rainbow Six: Siege on PS5? Let us know in the comments below.

Not really surprising, an upscaled current generation game (or cross generation game) should run circles (performance-wise) around a game built from the ground up for next gen that pushes the limit of what a system is capable of. I don't expect the 120 fps to be common outside of cross generational titles (on either system).
@thedevilsjester i think well get 120fps for games like the Atelier series, all those anime style games that look fundamentally like PS3 games still with a few more bells and whistles. And there's a lot of games like that. But yeah, for the TLOUs and CoDs of the world, I'd expect 60 at best.
To be frank I would have prefer a VR option.
But still playing Rainbow six at 4k/120fps is pretty neat.
So Playstation 5 can do everything but have a price or release date
How about that Patriot's game we never got or Rainbow Six: Vegas 3???... Siege is a milk cow by now.
@locoism25 It's a shame really. Rainbow Six game were one of my favorite series because it was a different single player experience. Now just another multiplayer shooter.
Why does anyone care about this? I want new games on my new system not upscaled or remastered 5-10 year old games. The new generation of gamers is ruining any progress moving forward in the gaming industry by cheering this type of thing on.
120fps!? Oh man time for ANOTHER TV upgrade (dammit!)
i love this ! free upgrade and in 4k @120fps =D
it shows loyalty to fans
@VatoLoco47 yep I have not bought it because of that I loved the Rainbow Six games played everyone but this.
impressive spec but not a game I will play.
So PS5 can do 120fps as well.
