Resident Evil Village is the next main instalment in Capcom's long-running horror series. It made its debut appearance during PlayStation's Future of Gaming showcase, where it was announced the game would be the first Resi on next-gen hardware like PS5. Fans of the franchise have been well served recently with the remakes of classic entries, but it's high time we had something brand new.
The publisher had promised an update on Village in August, but of course, we're now in September with no such update. However, Capcom has confirmed that the game will show up during Tokyo Game Show 2020, which is set to take place at the end of this month.
It looks as though Capcom will be holding a duo of livestreams over a weekend. The first, on Saturday 26th September, will include a look at Street Fighter V Champion Edition, while the second will include Resident Evil Village on the 27th. We don't know exactly how much will be shown off, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

Can't wait, while I don't like re7 haunted house setting, re8 setting remind me of resident evil 4 village which I like 😃
I never finished RE VII, but did enjoy what I played, and it was great in VR. So I'm quite looking forward how this will look on PS5 with the 3D audio stuff too.
If I don't see a review headline reading: Resident Evil Gr8, I'll be disappointed...
WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS
my fav series of all time... this is a def buy for me.
@wiiware Me too. I didn't play RE7 because it was more horror than action-horror like the other games that I have enjoyed. But, I love the franchise and can't wait to see what they've done with RE8!
@highfiverevival And the story seems more interesting too, with witch and werewolf instead cannibalistic family 😃
