Ubisoft: What's Rayman?
Ubisoft is like a insecure mid aged person trying to figure out what's "lit" these days.
Was hoping for Ezio trilogy for switch 😔
On one hand I loved that Scott Pilgrim game and it'd be great to play it again. On the other hand it massively reminds me of an ex-girlfriend. It's like that thing if you're sick from a certain type of food and you can't eat it for a while because it reminds you of being sick. Anyway, i got River City Girls as I thought it'd have that Scott Pilgrim magic... But it didn't, so it's good to see this game reappear again.
@tameshiyaku I originally read "lit" as "it" and was immediately reminded of a Simpsons quote:
"I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me"
I suppose it still applies to Ubisoft. 😂
Scott Pilgrim is great and I'm personally not at all surprised that Rayman isn't being mentioned yet considering it's basically Michael Ancel's baby and he's too busy working on Beyond Vaporware and Evil 2, so Rayman could be in pretty early development, if work has even started at all. I did love Origins/Legends so I'm down for a new one
They've found the absolute perfect formula for AC games. Keep making those at the same quality and scope every other year, and I don't really care what else they do.
Whatever happened to beyond good and evil 2? I wasn't that impressed with the edgy swearing direction they seemed to be heading, but it feels like a game that's passing it's relevance date.
I'm realizing I play absolutely no Ubisoft games. I know that adds little to the discussion but they're so few comments, I figure I might as well say something.
scott pilgrim re-release was the best thing they announced. says a lot about the current state of ubisoft. absolutely a dumpster fire publisher these days. that is what happens when you run a handful of IP into the ground with little to no innovation over the span of 10+ years.
The new prince of persia remake basically looks like an early ps3 game. I'll just stick with my OG gamecube trilogy thanks.
@Crimson_Ridley Simpsons will always have a quote for anything 😂
Scott Pilgrims return is nice, though with no physical release it doesn't mean much. Everything else = meh. PoP remake looks terrible. Ubisoft is a joke nowadays.
They also put out an apology video for their systematic abuse of staff and downright horrendous mobile game trailer but oddly they didn't include it in the Forward so it isn't linked to the games. Weird that.
@Porco Agreed - By allowing all your games to be planned by a couple of pretty horrendous people for the past 10 years.
@EVIL-C I think I saw Limited Run games post a Scott Pilgrim GIF after the announcement so I'd take that as a fairly big hint they'll be doing something.
@SegaBlueSky If that ends up being the case, then that's some good news. Thank you.
They could have announced adopting a new corporate culture...maybe next time
