Sony clearly loves the grasp it has on the Spider-Man IP, and so alongside the upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, it will also begin advertising the recent films based on the character as "PS5 4K Movie Essentials". On the same day that the PlayStation 5 is scheduled to launch in the UK, a physical 4K Blu-ray collection containing Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far from Home, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will release for £50. That's cheaper than picking up each film on Blu-ray separately.
Of course, you'll only be able to play the 4K bundle on a PS5 that ships with a disc drive, but this Spider-Man movie collection makes it clear that Sony still wants to promote the advantages of the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray player contained inside. The package is exclusive to Amazon right now, so you can check it out below.

Yeah... no.
I have a large DVD collection. I rebought a few movies on Blu-ray. I won't be re-buying anything in 4K.
New purchases may be 4K discs. Depends on the price. This habit of charging more for the same movies in higher resolutions is complete BS.
As I don't currently own any of those I think I might get it. I've actually only seen Homecoming and really enjoyed it and have heard good things about Spiderverse
Pretty cool.
@carlos82 Into the Spider-Verse is the best of the lot, incredible film.
If you haven't seen Spider-Verse and are on the fence about it, I can't recommend it enough
@Just_2_milky @LiamCroft it looks like November 19th is gonna be a busy day then 😆
You know I completely forgot it has a 4k player in it. Everythings that focused on backwards compatibility at the minute I genuinely never thought about it. Will definitely make use of it. I have the two MCU films on blu ray so this probably isnt for me but i will definitely pick up spiderverse on 4k on its own.
@Paranoimia I had a large DVD collection, slowly replaced them all with BluRay when that format took off; but I will absolutely not upgrade to 4k BluRay. There was a pretty dramatic shift between SD and HD (DVD and BluRay) but that shift is not as important or impactful from HD to 4k.
Nor will I go out of my way to purchase the 4k version of a movie. I have a couple of 4k BluRays, but only because they somehow ended up being the same price as or cheaper than their HD versions.
1.5 months away from a console launch and the biggest news of the day (so far) is a Blu-ray collection! haha!
@thedevilsjester I agree, the leap from Blu-Ray to UHD isn't anywhere near as big, me personally? I just don't see the point. I have a few UHD's, but I'm not replacing any Blu-Rays.
All great movies, and I like Spiderman as part of the MCU as it's supposed to be. Watched venom recently, that was shockingly lame.
To be fair, Into the Spider-verse is essential. Best animation of the last decade by a mile.
I wish into the spider verse got a 3d blu ray release, it was great in 3d!
They should definitely try and cross-promote more often. I'd be more prone to pre-order or buy an enhanced edition of a Spider-Man game if it came with a digital copy of a movie, versus a useless skin or wallpaper or something dumb.
Same goes for any other property able to do stuff like this.
I wonder if PSN will start offering 4K movie downloads on PS5. Found it weird when I was perusing the movie section of the store and noticed everything was either 480p or 1080p.
I already own them all. I had to scour the Interweb on how to get 3D versions, since Sony no longer supports them in the States. Homecoming I was able to get from Amazon UK. Into the Spiderverse I had to get from Amazon Germany...it's all in English except the bubble captions. I think I had to get Far From Home from India. Luckily the MCU that I was interested in wrapped up, so I doubt I get any more 3D movies.
@ralphdibny
You can find 3D versions. You just have to look outside the U.S./UK. I got mine from Amazon Germany with the help of Google Translate.
@ralphdibny
Just under $25 USD. My understanding is that this is 100% English, even the comic book caption bubbles. The German version has those in...German.

@lacerz ah cheers! Yeah I was sort of aware that it had released in other regions in 3D, I was thinking of picking one up (and venom) when (or indeed if) I eventually go on holiday I suppose. Not sure if they released the two MCU spider man films in 3d over here in the UK just to match the rest of the MCU releases. I know this was Fox but Dark Phoenix didn't get a 3D blu ray over here either which is a real shame as I quite enjoyed that movie! Also Predator 4 (it's rubbish but I got to have a complete collection 😅).
Apart from spider verse, the only other film I thought was actually better in 3D that didn't get a 3d blu ray was mission impossible 6. The film was much better than 5 but somehow the 2d version is less grainy and pretty than the 3d version
I am so sick of comic-book crap in movies, games, tv shows, etc. The oversaturation is insane, please find the next trend and move on already.
I've already got those movies in 3D, so 4K is useless.
@ralphdibny I got the 2 MCU movies in 3D from the UK. I got Spiderverse in 3D from Australia (in full english). I got Venom in 3D from Germany (it's in full english too).
Dark Phoenix, Predator and MI6 didn't get a 3D release anywhere
The movies themselves are great, but sticking "PS5" on there just stinks of desperate.
Glad to see continued support for 4K blu-ray. Streaming compression is absolutely terrible. Night and day difference, even with great speed. Music quality has already basically lost the battle to streaming, movies are starting to do the same, (Disney seems to be out of the physical release game) it's a bit of a drag.
@RevengeFan good to know there's another 3d fan out there! Now if they'll just start making 3d TVs relatively cheaply again....
