Japanese YouTubers have been getting up close and personal with the PlayStation 5 lately, and they'll be able to post their impressions this coming Sunday. Astro's Playroom is set to be one of the next-gen titles detailed as part of the hands on report as creator "Akagami no Tomo no Game Jikkyou Channel!!" has scheduled a video to go live over the weekend. Here's a link if you wish to check out the upcoming premiere, as spotted by Gematsu.
We don't know if any other PS5 games will feature during these Japanese PS5 hands on videos at the time of writing, but we have to maintain hope there's more to this than just Astro's Playroom. After Geoff Keighley showed off a demo over the summer, we think we've seen enough of it for now. Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Destruction AllStars, and maybe even Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales also seem like they could be prime candidates for this YouTuber showcase.
Is there anything you would like to know about Astro's Playroom, the PS5 game that comes pre-installed on every single next-gen system? Let us know in the comments below.

We need to more! I've spent nearly £400 on this!!!
Im not expecting much from these to be honest. I bet NDA's have been signed too to stop the UI being shown.
This has niche reveal written all over it. Sony really need to get the system in the hands of the press - particularly digital foundary - so it can be taken for a proper test drive
@Rob_230 Agreed, I don't think these videos will be anywhere near as substantial as people are hoping they will be.
@SLEEVExOFxWIZARD I mean you can always use Google Translate, but that translator is so bad that it could probably get you arrested, so you might as well Duolingo as complete it asap. Oh and be careful with the bird.
I'm utterly flabbergasted that we're nearly one month away from the PS5 launch and there have been so few details revealed. I'm going to still be getting a PS5 due to my investment in the ecosystem, but Sony's marketing and messaging has been piss poor to be generous.
It makes me long for the days of Mark Cerny doing an in depth reveal of a controller.
@lacerz I really hope Cerny does a full breakdown before release. If only so i can light some candles and listen to his ASMR whispers about cooling systems and I/O speeds for an hour to relax.
@LiamCroft the big worry is, like with everything we have seen in recent months, that will be used as another stick to bash Sony with. It feels like, since TLOU 2, people have had nothing nice to say about Playstation (Ghost excluded).
Is that Sony's fault? In part, yes, their comms have been pretty poor leading up to PS5. But people have also been getting far too carried away (and spooked by Microsoft's agression in the market).
Thing is, it will only take one decent State of Play to start changing that narrative and give us all the info we need to know ahead of launch. I hope it happens very soon!
@Rob_230 The Internet is like a rollercoaster. You just have to ride it out and try not to get sucked in by its nonsense.
@Jamboro that’s your own fault 😜
I think the idea of giving it to people outside Sony for a test drive and review should be about someone speaking of the PS5 as a consumer and answering some questions that consumers are asking. Otherwise it is just another set of gameplay videos, but they are posted on a youtubers stream, with the controller in his/her hands.
something natural, the exact opposite of Geoff’s video. I want them to hold the system, plug it in, boot it, explore ui, and launch a game.
@Weebleman What's interesting is that Cerny mentioned in his PS5 tech specs presentation in March doing a "teardown" of the PS5. The clock is definitely ticking for this to still happen!
@get2sammyb never go full ronan keating.
Never.
@srh_3186 i think it'll happen. My gut tells me something like a state of play will be announced next week. Obviously thats not based on anything other than my own feelings on it. Will be just over a month before release and that would kinda fit in with how theyre pacing these things out.
@Weebleman
It makes sense that they would detail as much as possible prior to release, the ad revenue from drip fed announcements could be a lot higher then a bulk here is everything, so they have been taking their time, but it isn't because they aren't going to say everything. Millions of people visiting a website 30 or 40 times, instead of once or a little more to reread the information.
@JoshuaTChandler I think its fair to say that most people are looking for a distraction these days and, in turn, the thirst for info on these things hit fever pitch. When sony put the image of the pad up and it broke records sums it up really.
Xbox have pretty much given as much (if not more) than you would expect at this point so the only unknown factor now is with Sony. Once (if) they announce something that will finally let the cat out of the bag the articles and comments section alone will do the work of a dedicated marketing team. Love it or hate it people will watch it.
Ive decided to try and ignore the bickering and grumbles going forward and concentrate on the fact i have a new console arriving next month. I mean, when you think about that alone, its pretty cool.
Plus my sons new xbox arrives as well and, well, i wouldnt want to pass it over to santa before testing it works. That would be terrible parenting, wouldnt it....
I”m Janese.
But I’m not interested in like this chanel or youtuber.
Kind of poor.
I hope they make more Astrobot Vr Games as it's up there with the best of Mario games Astrobot Vr is amazing.
