FIFA 21 will launch on PS5 this December, EA has confirmed. Releasing just a few weeks after Sony's console, the next-gen title will feature a bunch of improvements, both technical and graphical.
"New innovations unlocked by the power of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, like blazing fast load times, deferred lighting and rendering, enhanced animation technology, off-ball humanisation, and more will take The World’s Game from visual to visceral," reads the official announcement. We're hoping for a noticeable improvement over the PS4 version, which, as we noted in our review, is starting to look rather dated.
What's more, those who own FIFA 21 on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version at no additional cost. EA is calling this 'Dual Entitlement'. Even if you own FIFA 21 on disc on PS4, you can use it to download FIFA 21 digitally on PS5. Lovely stuff.
FIFA 21 kicks off on the 4th December for PS5, but will you be warming up for the big occasion? Go for the top corner in the comments section below.

I'm happy with this slight delay, allows me to enjoy my Brighton Career Mode a little longer before I do a massive career mode with the Chels in December!
FIFA should be a free upgrade every year. Same game, with optional in app purchases (kits etc) EA would still make plenty of money taking a leaf out of Fortnites book!
EA have been absolute ***** this year. EA UFC 4 is still unfinished, buggy as ***** & in many cases worse than the 2 year old UFC 3. NFL 2021 another cut & paste mess that’s still glitchy but features slick micro transactions
Complain all you like it will still sell to the eye of the ones that don't care and don't really know much about how broken there games are
