Here’s your first look at NBA 2K21 gameplay running on the PlayStation 5 ahead of the console’s launch next month. In this footage we get a glimpse at a new camera angle inspired by the 2020 NBA Bubble, which brings you closer to the court than ever before. It takes a couple of seconds to load the game, meaning there’s no time for NBA 2KTV – or those commercials that caused controversy recently.
There are multiple commentary teams, which should give variety to matches. We also see new mechanics, such as the impact dunking system, and rewritten foot planting systems. The developer, Visual Concepts, has promised to share more about other upcoming changes – including the mode formerly known as the Neighborhood – in the run-up to release. For now, check out the match-up between the Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans above.

this Allie Laforce lady looks like her soul is in the process of leaving her body
@TheFrenchiestFry lol and her facial expression look bad too while talking
@TheFrenchiestFry Whenever I see her, I think about the time I was at a high school football game (she's my age and we went to rival schools) and she ferociously rejected my friend and I laugh and laugh.
Looking at this compared to the stuff we've seen from Madden on next gen...what a joke Madden has become.
A Gambling Game with basketball tagged on, Big Deal
just me or when players move they seem be skipping frames animation if this is final build then its poor effort.
It looks super slick to be honest, but somehow I was expecting a bit better animation wise.
Whats going on at 0:41? Are those two players in a synchronized dance move competition? Clearly the game needs polish.. looks impressive visually.. but needs some deffo polish.
And the more visually realistic it looks, the weirder the non realistic behaviour seems - 0:57 Curry runs up to the post for no reason and sadly turns to walk away and looks like Williamson can't remember where he put his tickets for the game at 1:07.
Yup.. lots of polish.
@Party_Cannon its just typical 2K/sports games. Only so many idle animations they can make and cycle through for players. It's funny that it happens while the devs are talking about the new animations they've added.
@Anguspuss it's kinda always happened, it's the transition from different animations. No sports game ever get it completely right. It more obvious as the graphics have gotten better.
@Party_Cannon That first you said was a bit weird its like they where trying too do the wave. 😆
