Principal photography has wrapped on the Uncharted movie, meaning that filming is complete and the project will now go into post-production. Obviously, given the bombastic nature of the series, we can expect a lot of special effects, so the team will be busy right through until the film’s scheduled release date on 16th July, 2021.
Still, Sony celebrated the milestone with the following Twitter post:
Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg – who’s playing Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan, and recently gave us a look at this majestic moustache – followed up with this message:
Nolan North, the original Nathan Drake mocap artist, recently gave his blessing to the project, while star Tom Holland provided us with an early glimpse of his Nathan Drake. Now we await the first trailer of the film, which will probably arrive later in the year. Are you excited for the movie? Scream “aw, crap” in the comments section below.

We've been writing about this movie since the site launched in 2009! Unbelievable milestone moment!
Aw crap! I'm hyped for this despite thinking that Wahlberg is terrible lol
Let's see how it goes! Hope it has some kind of moment similar to any of the games!
@Pikki I'm betting on the first trailer at The Game Awards.
Chung Chung-hoon is really fun to say!
I'm cautiously optimistic about this, but I'm hoping it's good!
Huh? I though they just start shooting, with that drake tom holland picture.
@Total_Weirdo I miss watching movies with my friend in theatre, usually we go to the theatre at least once a month watching new movies.
@get2sammyb They wouldn't announce a movie, even a video game based one at TGA. A better chance would be CCXP (Comic Con Experience), which also takes place in December
well i did like the Tomb Raider movie that came out back in 2018 (iirc)... I loved these games more than TR games so my hopes are high for this one. I"m sure ill be let down, but will still drop cash to watch it.
Best be some supernatural element.
