Sony has officially unveiled the in-game hints and tips system shipping with the PlayStation 5 console next month, dubbed Game Help. It's built into the user interface and allows you to bring up the Command Centre at any time to get a bit of help if you're stuck. You'll then be able to stream a video displaying the solution to your own screen whilst playing the game, which Sackboy: A Big Adventure demonstrates tremendously well. That's a pretty nifty feature, but you will need an active PS Plus subscription to gain access.
"Game Help was included as a benefit for active PlayStation Plus members in some PS5 games." We have to assume that a lot of you already do possess a subscription to the service, but if not, you'll have to commit some extra cash monthly in order to take advantage of the feature.

I wonder if they'll open this up to certain third-parties like PS5Trophies and PowerPyx.
I knew there would be a caveat. But it's not too surprising. While nice, it seems purely like a pay-for-convenience feature. Others will just stick to reaching for their laptops. It's a good feature to have though.
@ankehuber Excuse me, we do our very own comprehensive guides too!
People with ps now should get it also. Well, they should just integrate the two. Ridiculous to have two subscription services.
I like this idea of watching a video as you play. I hope this also extends to include YouTube and Netflix.
I was playing RE3 recently and was grinding kills. Would have been cool to also watch something in the background/side of the screen.
PS Now subscribers will also have access to the Shuhei Yoshida tips & tricks hotline. Talk to the man himself using the mic in your dualsense controller😁
I have a feeling this is one of those features to be supported only by Sony first party games. And even then I could see it only being supported for the first couple years as well. Cool feature, but I'm not about to unbookmark PSNProfiles, PowerPyx, PS5Trophies, and yes Liam.....even PushSquare!
@Jayslow Thank you!
What a pointless idea.
I for one am lazy to play through again just for trophy and to look up on Internet. This is a really nice feature.
Cash for help.. I want help for cash!
How dare they add extra value to the ps plus package. B@#&*#d's
@LiamCroft I Look Forward To Your Trophy Guide's For Bugsnax And Ratchet And Clank.
If I don't get re-directed to PushSquare's guides I'll send an angry e-mail to Sony telling them that it needs to be in the database!
Do you need PS Plus to share game feed with a friend and talk over voice chat?
@TheIdleCritic 😶-But since I'm sure Sony asked the developers if they would put (some extra) effort into little demo tip video's, along side the game itself. So having to have the PS+ Subscription doesn't really seem that far of a stretch(reason) to use it.
😶-Like you said, it's convenient too.
@RicksReflection Yes. Having something convenient and extra available for free would be nice, but I can't have gripes with his being behind a subscription.
Here's a free option. Git gud!
Finally no more wandering if I should unsub my psplus lol. But seriously, the hints system is super useful. And the discounted psplus on cdkeys is really nice
Good feature to have shame it is locked behind ps plus will be interesting to see how many 3rd part studios take advantage of this.
@TheIdleCritic 😄- Your right everybody loves free stuff!
😕-I wonder if Sony get's the developers to add it on (for them for free)...lol. Because I'm pretty sure Sony love's free stuff too...lol.😁🤘
I love the idea but I feel like it will be too much effort and eventually dropped... Needs people to use it a lot!
Eh, I guess I'll stick to online guides then.
I feel like I complain about Plus a lot but honestly it doesn't seem all that unreasonable to have this feature as part of your subscription. I'll probably never use it and I could see it being something that completely falls off later on but it's something new nonetheless.
@Insightful Yeah cos MS charging a subscription for F2P games is proconsumer.
This is stupid idea :-/ It's something Microsoft would do(not sure if they do it already) Oh well considering i haven't bought PS PLUS for years now I guess this cool option i can't use then Oh well.
Hope it actually gets implemented in many games! It’s a cool idea, but don’t see devs putting resources into it.
@Insightful Shush, your hate is showing
@LiamCroft Yes you do, I used your comprehensive Last of Us 2 collectables guide, I will behind you at the job centre mate
Honestly I feel the game guides gimmick will be barely utilised after a year except in a few first party titles.
Other than that and a few possibly missing features like Folders, quick resume of multiple titles I really like it.
@Insightful You mean you hope. I think you'll be in for a shock. PlayStation has too big of a reach.
@Insightful Yep, Xbots are officially hiding over here at Pushsquare now.
I wonder what the game help will say during Demon's Souls?
"Git gud!"
Is looking up gamefaqs on your phone all that burdensome? This feels like something that will be abandon in a couple of years.
Considering you're spending a fortune for the console and the games are going to be £10-£20 more than usual it should be free.
It's not whatsoever a necessary feature, nobody asked for it so it's a nice perk for ps plus members - since we pay every year we should get perks
