Not every month can bring with it a stellar line-up of PlayStation Plus titles, and October 2020's selection very much feels like one that will be forgotten about before too long. PS Plus subscribers can get their hands on Need for Speed Payback and Vampyr this month at no extra cost. As is tradition, we put the two PlayStation 4 games to the vote and nearly half of you agree this is a fairly underwhelming line-up.
Nevertheless, it's always worth at least adding each and every PS Plus title to your library — something you can do right now with Need for Speed Payback and Vampyr. The two PS4 titles can be downloaded free of charge in Europe, with the US and other territories expected to follow in the coming hours. Do you plan to give either of them a fair shot? Which one will you download first? Let us know in the comments below.

Has anybody who previously downloaded Vampyr on PS Now been able to add it to their PS Plus library? I go onto the store page for it and it only presents me with the option to download, not add it to my PS Plus library. I downloaded it and checked how long it has until it expires (for me it should be 380 days for PS Plus games at the moment) and it's definitely not the PS Plus version. I thought this was fixed last month?

That’s certainly an annoyance. I mean, not a big one, as it’s on PS Now indefinitely, but if this was a timed entry that would be a terrible situation. Just one more reason why Sony need to just join these two services together.

Shame here, maybe they will fix this tomorrow or something. In the recent months it became possible to redeem ps plus and ps now games separately, but as we can see, there will be hiccups...
Has the monthly plus poll ever had it where people are happy? Don’t the majority moan every month? This isn’t a bad month at all. I saw that even though I own/have access both games on more than one console
Already put in two hours in NFS Payback, like it so far!
Just launched Payback, all eager.

Yeah, you guessed it. L2/R2 hardmapped to touchpad yet again and the settings' "Controller" tab literally has nothing but the PICTURE of a controller layout therein.
I'll try to persevere at least for the few initial races, but I'm admittedly feeling a bit AVGNish right now. Rivals maps the triggers properly, and it's mere four years older. /)_-)
Mind you, we're also talking a default Vita control scheme - not even touching the logic of its layout, it's SO default (unless the devs themselves program something else) that it overrides even PS4's own system-wide button remaps as long as you're remote. And no amount of problematic cases has ever urged Sony to tweak this much. Just another reason to healthily doubt any probability of PS5 remote play supporting Vita at all.🙄
if they'd have the original NFS: hot pursuit 2 (ps2) game i'd have taken it right away. this, not so much.
Not a good month for me personally but I'm an outliner so I accept that I don't count, but, I will say this:
It's a better month than some recent ones b/c
I've actually heard of both of these games
I wouldn't consider either game to be an indie
They are in 2 very different genres
So even though maybe not the best I do think these are the types of games more in line with what people expect from PS+.
Props for Liamcroft for writing "at no extra cost" instead of "free". I didn't think anybody at PS could be bothered.
Just played the first ~ hour of each and both were fun.
I rather enjoy Vampyr my problem is I have it currently downloaded from now. As of right now it is saying purchased for ps+. First time this has happened to me. It's also why I won't try RE7 until PS5
Played a bit od Vampyr today. It was as expected. Pretty good. Not outstanding but good.
