Assassin's Creed Valhalla wants to tell you all about Norse beliefs and mythology, it seems. The game's latest trailer is as much an education short as it is marketing, as it details Viking religion and ways of life. There are also new gameplay snippets to catch throughout.
If you already know your Vikings then this trailer probably won't have much to tell you, but we've always enjoyed the Assassin's Creed series for its reliance on history (even if it does like to bend the rules a bit). A lot of research obviously goes into these games, and hopefully Valhalla provides some real insight into Vikings as a people.
Are you looking forward to Assassin's Creed Valhalla? Keep an eye out for ravens in the comments section below.

It looks so bland... Just another AC Odyssey.
I don’t know how anybody could watch that video embedded and say it was bland. Sure, the gameplay probably won’t be the most complicated out there but the trailer there makes it look like it’s leaning towards the virtual tourism of previous games which could work massively in its favour.
I've watched the video, and it looks bland.
Game will prob be good. Not great, but like 7.5 to 8 of 10. They look to be playing it a little too safe this time.
It will be nice to have a new open world title at launch on PS5 even if it's just good.
I'd say 7 to 8 out of 10 aswell but im pretty sure it will be received better than watchdogs but probably not better than Immortals
I'm hoping its better, im huge AC fan so.
Be-frost or By-frost?
It looks ok. But I’m looking forward to the day when they decide to change the gameplay back to the proper AC gameplay we had a few years ago. When the games had their own identity.
Yeah, this looks like a game I'll grab for 20€. Luckily, since it's a Ubisoft game, this will only take a few months
Already preordered. Can’t wait to dive in.
The female character looks so badass, now ! They really improved the faces during the developpment !
Oh I do like birdie songs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6gSYHJhuCw
More cunning than the Raven more wise than any owl.
It's kinda sad, but every time I watch a Valhalla trailer, something about it reminds me of why I never finished Odyssey. What a lazy team they are. It's the same game.
I’m expecting it to play & feel like another Ubisoft title which i’ve pretty much said about the last few Assassins Creed’s. TBH i’ll probably get it on sale, have fun exploring/clearing the map (which is still way too big), end up not clearing every region, play like 60% of the main story, level up my character and try to get some some cool gear, do some side quests, get bored of the gameplay loop, have the game sit on my homescreen for months, then play it again once & awhile before finally uninstalling it.
I just have open-world fatigue at this point and between having finished Ghost of Tsushima, playing Miles Morales at launch, and waiting on Cyberpunk in the near future this game just kind of fell into the pile of “not essential to play at release”
Looks better than Odyssey. They’ve reworked the quest system so your map doesn’t look like a christmass tree. That was the reason I dropped Odyssey. Too much stuff to do there and most was stupid fetch quests.
It looks a bit thrown together to me. The animation and facial expressions really feel off and there's nothing drawing me in. I'm expecting it will be rushed to meet that deadline but no doubt there will be some fun to be had by super fans.
Yeah I will not be interested in this AC game. Looks incredibly boring and nothing like AC unfortunately. I will continue to wait for an actual AC game until then.
@fR_eeBritney It's Bifrost. I built the one in a game called Rune I worked on about 20 years ago.
I'm getting a weird sense of Horizons Aloy with The Witcher 3 environments and God of War mythology come together to make this AC baby!
@Cornaboyzzz Unfortunately most likely
@fR_eeBritney its actually bi-frost
@Octane nice joke sweetie
@ILikeStake I bet you say that about resident evil,call of duty and now this
@Taylorzombie You'd lose that bet
