Update: As rumoured earlier in the week, Bethesda has now attached a 21st May release date to Deathloop on the PS5. One important detail, the base game will be $59.99/£59.99, so the publisher is not charging next-gen tax just yet.
Original Story: Deathloop, the ambitious time-based first-person adventure from Dishonored developer Arkane Studios, will seemingly launch on 21st May. That’s according to PlayStation Store listings discovered in New Zealand for both Standard and Digital Deluxe editions of the game. We’ll check in with Bethesda and try to get some kind of confirmation, although we’d anticipate an official announcement to be imminent.
Pre-orders come with three items: the Storm Rider Colt character skin, one Trinket, and the Royal Protector Machete, which is exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition comes with three unique weapons, including the PS5 exclusive Transtar Trencher. You’ll also get: the Party Crasher Colt character skin, the Sharp Shooter Julianna character skin, two Trinkets, and an original game soundtrack.
This was obviously originally scheduled to release alongside the PS5, but was pushed back earlier in the year to allow for more development time. Enjoy it, because it may be the last Arkane Studios title you can play on the PS5.

I personally would love if Arkane did a remake of some old PC immersive sim game, that stuff looks right up their alley.
looks good, my only concern is i want to know if u can turn off the online part of the assassin coming after you. if you're trying trophies don't want to get messed around with someone invading your game unless it's the computer AI. never been a fan of invaders in games unless you opted for it.
Im looking forward to both this and ghostwire tokyo. Its a travesty they may be the last bethesda titles we see
Nah pretty sure this is going straight to Game Pass and if a PS user even thinks of the game Microsoft will bill them.
Seriously though, game looks interesting but would really benefit from a demo. Most games I have a good idea whether I'll like them or not but this one, I have no clue.
My favorite studio from Bethesda, love the Dishonored franchise, it is bloody brilliant.
It is a well known as sad fact that a lot of Arkane games were critical successes, but not commercial successes unfortunately. Which is a shame since a lot of gamers are missing out on some gems.
I am definitely looking forward to this one since like was said in the article, could be the swan song for the studio on Sony platforms. I will wish them well, however.
Cannot wait for this, and it's so soon! Not sure I'll have a ps5 by then but I'll be excited to play it when I do
im ok with it maybe being the last arkane game on sony hardware
My most hype fps game right now for next gen
For me, MS can keep Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 as exclusives as long as they let Arkane keep releasing its games on PS5. I would buy a Series S on the spot for a Prey 2.
How the heck does anyone make $59.99 = £59.99?
Methinks someone needs to go back to basic maths and learn about dividing numbers.
Why do brits get robbed all the damn time. $59 is not equal to £59 fs
Shame about the delay, but glad to hear it's still on track for release.
