Sony spent a fortune marketing the PlayStation 5’s launch over the past week and a bit, which has resulted in this glossy trailer. The company — along with Amplify — lit up famous landmarks all around the world, including the Burj Khalifa. In the video embedded above, you’ll see Piccadilly Circus in London and the company’s headquarters in San Mateo, all taken over by the new console. It’s impressive stuff!
In fact, the Burj Khalifa video is so impressive, it deserves a better look:
In the UK, the company also has rebranded a number of London Underground stations, and completely taken over Oxford Circus, which is near where Blood & Truth developer London Studio is based. It’s been a real historic event, perhaps only marred by the fact that many people who want a console simply can’t find PS5 stock.

There’s aliens trying to sleep up there and you lot are glowing a big blue light right outside their curtains.
I reckon they got some sweet marketing deals with all this coronavirus knocking about
Wow... this what it looks like when you have an amazing production + media buy budget 😅
Sony is just on another level (but They should have made a few more consoles)
@Agramonte Next week there’ll be a report that Microsoft have just bought the whole building, meaning Sony can’t use it for marketing any more 😉
@nessisonett and the ad agency for good measure 😅
I mean you got to appreciate how consistently ruthless Microsoft has been for decades.
Astronauts are gonna have a hard time sleeping tonight.
Pretty great Tetris Effect vibe going on here.
they can't, they won't, they never will...
stop the party
It's funny how this tune has become a theme for PS5. That was a such great idea for the reveal.
Disappointed that they did nothing on my local asda.!
I gotta admit, this made me extra hyped and willing to try my luck again during Thanksgiving/Black Friday!
