PlayStation Plus subscriptions are on sale for Black Friday 2020, meaning you can get a year of service for 25 per cent off right now. In the UK, that works out to be a very reasonable £37.49 for 12 months, which is a decent deal. The sale’s not currently live in the United States, but we’re sure it’ll eventually become available across the pond, too. You can learn about the rest of Sony’s latest promotion through here.
Remember, subscriptions stack on the PS Store, so even if you have a few months of your current membership left to use up, you can extend that while the offer’s available. Between all PS Plus Collection games on PS5 and freebies like Bugsnax and the upcoming Destruction AllStars, it looks like the value of Sony’s subscription will continue to grow into the new generation.

Or £32.85 on Shop To.
@sanderson72 Even better deal! Thanks for sharing!
PS NOW is also on the same discount. The extent to which sites ignore this service is bordering on scandalous honestly! LOL.
@get2sammyb @sanderson72 yep got mine this morning. Perfect timing to claim all those lovely games in the psplus collection 💪
@thefourfoldroot Agreed!! Its not perfect but doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves, even from Sony!
@get2sammyb As soon as Sony announce a PS+ discount, I always check with Shop To!
Nice. Will grab when it hits the 🇺🇸
Usually it's $30 or $29 on cdkeys.com
@get2sammyb Sure, that's a great deal if you buy PS+ and have a PS5, you get what, 22 games this month? PS+ for PS4 owners is basically paying to play online at this point.
If they want to reward PS5 owners by giving them PS4 games, that's fine, call it "PS5 Ambassadors" similar to what 3DS had. Giving all of those games as PS+ would be fine if all PS+ subscribers could add them to their library, we're all going to own a PS5 someday or we wouldn't be PS+ subscribers now. All PS+ subscribers should be able to add all PS+ games to their library regardless of what consoles they currently own. 1 subscription, 1library of games. Done.
Mine auto renews at full price in one week. If there aren't any good deals in the US on Sunday, I'm going to cancel and wait for one.
@Unlucky13 its $32.99 on CDKeys right now!
Ebay its 30$ now for 1 year.thats a way better deal.word up son
@redd214 I'm looing to buy it from Sony or a major retailer, though. I just don't trust buying stuff online from smaller sites.
@Unlucky13 fair enough, been personally using them for years and never had a problem plus with paypal checkout there's virtually no risk, but I understand you may not feel comfortable.
$45 looks like what it'll be on PSN/Retailers.
@rjejr 100%. But I'm sick of trying to push this message. It's a spit in the face of anyone who was loyal during the ps4 era.
They could literally advertise is as you get all these games, but if you really want to see how they should be seen, you should upgrade to ps5 and see the difference. But no, enjoy your spit.
@nookie_egg I tend to always get a message and stick w/ it until I get a new message. This is mine at the moment. I've probably been a PS+ subscriber 7 of the past 10 years, signed up right at the beginning and had it for 4 or 5 years, then on and off. It started off slow but got really good there for awhile tail end of the PS3 but it's been pay-to-play-online for awhile now. This PS+ dump is just annoying.
And it shouldn't be that hard to do on PS4, I added Bugsnax on PS5 to my library right after typing my last post. From my Amazon Fire tablet.
Here's a link if you have a US account and PS+, no PS5 required.
Just for Bugsnax, not the Collection.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/bugsnax/
Subscriptions are 25% off via the PS Store now.
@rjejr during the latter years of the ps3, psplus was absolutely incredible. Getting 6 (sometimes more!) games a month over 2, or even 3, systems meant that everyone was always happy each month. There was always something for everyone. The value was incredible and people looked forward to the announcement each month. When was the last time that the month had been unanimously positive since the change? Never.
But Sony going to do what Sony does.
Also thanks for the link, I claimed bugsnax already but I'm in no rush at all to get a ps5 so who knows when I'll get chance to experience that one.
@nookie_egg "the latter years of the ps3"
Also, and I don't think this gets enough notice, during those great PS3 eyars it was free to play online. We weren't paying to play online and we got to rent some games for our trouble, back when PS+ was only $50 all of our money went towards game rentals, not paying to play online. So it really was a great deal. Which si why I paid for 4 ro 5 straight years in a row.
Then once Sony made PS+ mandatory to play online on PS4 it took all of the goodness away b/c Sony knew people HAD to pay for PS+ to play online.
I suppose that's really 2 points, better value on PS3 b/c online was free; and a worse value on PS4 b/c Sony knew they had gamers by the short hairs so they had to pay no matter how bad the game selection was. Year after year after year.
The PS+ Game Collection on PS5 shouldn't be PS+, they should have called it the "Sony Welcome Package" or some such as it's obviously aimed towards Xbox gamers who haven't already played all of those games on PS4. Xbox gamers would have paid for PS+ anyway - bc/ they have to to play online - and PS4 owners who have already paid for a year of PS+ would feel like they were getting the short end of the stick, b/c they are.
But it's a business.
