Now that the rest of the Push Square crew has finally gotten some hands on time with the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller, we can all very confidently say that it's a genuine game-changer. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are two outstanding features that we hope more PS5 games adopt in the future. However, it's time to bring things back down to earth because the pad has just been ruined by a single tweet.
As spotted by the game design director of Far Cry 6 of all people, Ted Timmins, the Sony logo on the back of the DualSense controller is off centre by a single millimetre and on a one-degree slant. Because of that, it's neither entirely straight nor centred. That's going to bug us for the next seven years, isn't it?
Forget about how much of an improvement the PS5 controller is over the DualShock 4 pad — this is too much for us! Have you spotted any other slight flaws with the DualSense controller? List them in the comments below.

OCD Powers... ACTIVATE!!
When whole controller will be black, it all visually disappears. ☺️
Won't bother me one bit. Its not exactly in a place we will all be staring at
you literally never look at it shrug
I have OCD and I literally can't see anything
Future antique! 🤣
I was here like "how can a single tweet ruin... oh... well, crap." Thanks a lot. Is it troubling I'd really like them to get this fixed before I buy a PS5?
No problems with the controller but there's problems with upgrading ps4 version to ps5 for ac valhalla. Its apparently getting investigated by ubisoft
AAAAAHHHHHH!!
I wish I didn't notice things like this but I do.
What has been seen cannot be unseen.
Preorder cancelled.
Just got mine. Great controller, but the eland on the R1 and L1 buttons will take a bit to get used to. Hadn’t seen this mentioned anywhere.
I've booked Ted for a dinner party and I've set his chair ~1mm off-centre to the left of the table. Wonder if he notices.
After America's dismal election fallout, it's nice to read some real news for once.
@ApostateMage try slipping a square of toilet paper under one leg to make it unlevel. 🤪
And... Breathe... Count to 10...
@ApostateMage you're either a brave man, or you're crazy
Or maybe the charge slot is the thing that's off centre...
I'm sufficiently OCD.....but that's excessive even for me!
With all this talk about OCD...I have my console laying horizontally and the PS logo doesn’t face forward, now that is something I can’t help but see every time I look at it
That's a pretty great tweet. 10/10 would recommend.
I've been using my Dualshock 4 with my PS5 mostly, so I can play with back buttons.
My Sony logo is perfect centre. I will swap him lol
Let’s stop humoring the fake OCD people.
@johnny30 I didn't have any problems with mine, just had to make sure I downloaded the ps5 version of the game. I did notice it sometimes defaulting back to the ps4 version when starting the game. It asking to download it again as the ps4 version isn't downloaded on my ps5 but I just press start/options while hovering over the game, select game version and then pick the ps5 version and all is good.
@SilentScorpion_ unfortunately its not giving me the option of free upgrade or the option to download ps5 version. Just on ps store its asking me to buy . I managed it for the miles morales spiderman game. I reported it to ubisoft; apparently its a well known issue that that ubisoft are investigating
Unperfection is perfection.
The gap between R1 and the controller is smaller than the L1 and the controller. If I knew how to add a photo I would. I found out this whilst looking at the Sony logo mentioned in this tweet. Now I have two OCD things to put up with lol
