The very first PlayStation Plus game on PS5 is the one and only Bugsnax. Developer Young Horses has followed up Octodad: Dadliest Catch with this bizarre adventure, in which your main aim is to catch half bug, half snack creatures. It joins PS4 titles Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight as part of PS Plus for November.
From today, Bugsnax is available to add to your game library. If you're lucky enough to have your PS5 already, you'll be able to get the game downloaded and can start playing. It's worth noting, though, that even if you have another week to wait, you can still add the game to your library ready for when your console does arrive. Using either the PlayStation Store website or the PS app on your smartphone, you can claim Bugsnax and pop it in your library. When you get your PS5, it'll be there waiting to be downloaded. While we're on the subject, we should reiterate that only the PS5 version of the game is on PS Plus; the PS4 version is not.
Are you ready to hunt down some Bugsnax on PS5? Be careful what you eat in the comments section below.

That's what I'm talkin' about!
It goes without saying that you can add Bugsnax to your library even if your console is a month or a year away.
I used the app, and don't know how to fully make use of it, and searched for the game just in case anyone is having trouble finding it there.
Did this earlier, anyone else noticed half the PS5 games have disappeared from the PS5 category?
So, we have until Jan 4th to get this right? I‘ll wait until then to sub, then stay subbed for destruction all stars.
Still have far too many games on PS Now to play to get Plus just for PS4 games.
Already got it, can't wait to play it january next year 😃
Downloading now😁
@Constable_What Same. I can confirm that you can add this game and others to your library without the physical console. There is even a special pre-order deal on deathloop right now. Just use the app for you phone. It is actually pretty slick
Does this confirm that it's the same subscription, i.e I could buy a card that's for PS3/PS4/Vita and it'll work on PS5 when it arrives next week?
Was looking at a 14 day trial from CDKeys to take me through to any black Friday/cyber Monday deals
Maybe it's me, but I genuinely couldn't find a link to add Bugsnax to my library in the PS+ section of the new store... it really is terrible.
Searched manually for it and added no problem.
Still not available to add to my Library in the PS+ store on the web-browser...
EDIT: Tried on a couple of Browsers, going to the store and seeking out Bugsnax directly - not using the PS+ linked version - until MS Edge (oh the Irony LOL) gave me the option to add to my Library...
@Juvenlast The app looks pretty sexy honestly, and is pretty easy to use. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that the store redesign resources went mostly to that rather than the web-store. lol
@BAMozzy same here, had to do it over the android app.
Downloaded it from the store yesterday 😆
@Constable_What How? I don't have my PS5 yet, but the game doesn't show up in the app. I can only see Shadow of War and Hollow Knight.
@Octane You can search for it, and when the game shows up, wait a couple seconds and it will then give you the option to add to your library.
I'm in the US on android by the way. I don't know how different it is for other devices, platforms, or countries.
No download link on the web based store and error message on the phone app. Brilliant. Great start Sony.
@Constable_What Maybe it's different for Europe since the PS5 releases next week over here.
@Octane Yeah, it just released here, so you'll probably have better luck next week. It works though, for me at least.
@BAMozzy Thanks for the tip man! I was trying to find out how to add Bugsnax to the library using Firefox with no luck. Edge shows the option right away. The irony indeed!
