If you purchased your PlayStation 5 from Sony’s own PlayStation Direct store, then you may have found a little extra attached to your next-gen console. Sony sent out a thank you note signed by bigwig Jim Ryan, appreciating customers’ support. However, the company attached a PlayStation Network code to the printed message, which redeems a bunch of exclusive avatars.
You can see the full selection above; you get eight profile icons, spanning the following titles: Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Demon’s Souls, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Destruction AllStars, Astro’s Playroom, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us: Part II. The last one is a more generic PlayStation symbols avatar.
It’s a nice little touch from the manufacturer to reward fans like this, and we’re sure those who ordered through PlayStation Direct appreciated the gesture.

That's a nice touch but should really be for any day one adopters, we all paid the same and it all goes to Sony at the end of the day.
That's neat. I got my Playstation Direct order in on launch day, so I wonder if this will be included for people who bought it there after the pre-orders as well.
I don't even like with the majority of the avatar logo except Sackboy and Ratchet. 😒
Can i completely NOT using any default avatar on PS5 and block the other avatar logo ?
I'm really sick to see them...

I've read your story about your youth and your paralysis ... but honestly, I'm slowly starting to think you shouldn't use a game console anymore. Find another fulfilling hobby with lots of nature and fresh air. I think it's not good for you to watch TV and every time you do it you are scared of seeing something you don't want. It's really not for you believe me. Let it be.

I have a lot of cute games, cute drawings in my gaming room. Even i decorate my game consoles / handhelds with my cute design.
They keep me happy and safe, stay away from mature contents.
That's how did i keep continuing my gaming hobby, make it cute, make it kiddie, make it like kid's toys.
Thats what everyone on reddit was saying they redeemed a code but had no idea what it was for.
This is ridiculous, Sony never sent me a preorder invitation despite having an active online account since 2012. Not to mention spending thousands of dollars using their online store! Luckily I managed to secure one at Best Buy on Sept 16th - still waiting on shipment. Such a botched launch.
Sweet as my meat!
