December 2020's selection of free PlayStation Plus titles is available to download from the PlayStation Store right now, serving up three different games no matter whether you're playing on a PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4. Worms Rumble takes the headline slot with a native PS5 version while Just Cause 4 and Rocket Arena can both be played on Sony's new console too. The latest take on Worms has also released for PS4 straight into PS Plus, so those still playing on the previous-gen system don't miss out this month.
If you've just bagged yourself a PS5 though, don't forget that Bugsnax is still available for free as part of the PlayStation Plus service through until 4th January 2021. In the latest Push Square poll, 35% of users voted against the notion that December 2020's line-up of PS Plus games is any good. 26% of you think they're okay, while just 5% are chuffed about them. Let's hope Sony's offerings for January 2021 fare a little better.
Which of the latest PlayStation Plus titles will you play first? Make your decision in the comments below.

I paid a fortune for the full fat Super Gold Deluxe Just Cause 4 (or whatever it was called) because I enjoyed 3 so much. Never been so disappointed.
I redeemed Worms and Just Cause but Rocket Arena doesn't shop uw as free to me. Guess I'll wait and see.
edit: worked now
Na thanks JC4 looks boring like 3 did I stopped at 2 because it didn't offer anything new after that, Worms haven't played since Armageddon on PS1. Thank god my PS sub is running out soon because it will be just crap from now on on PS4 for it's free month games.
Just cause 3 was a surprisingly awesome game so I'm looking forward to playing 4
Just cause 4 downloading that one.word up son
Did I miss my chance to download Hollow Knight? đ«
@jimmyriddle what didn't you like about 4?
I really liked 3 as well minus the huge slow down glitches.
@Feena it's not an expensive game and you can let PS+ run out and still have access to that wonderful game!
@Feena unfortunately yes...
Cannot claim JC4 thru mobile app. Meaningless app they have...
@Elodin I think he means he paid a fortune and now it's free, That's why disappointed.
@Elodin JC3 was just fun and quite tongue in cheek in its story and gameplay. 4 took itself a bit too seriously and the map was just a bit cold, dark and depressing - a bit like how GTA 4 felt in comparison to others. Also the missions we're really boring and repetitive. The only plus point I would give 4 is that the load times were much better and should be great on a PS5.
@Rash nah it's just a pretty crap game compared to 3.
I can't download these games "now". I still see November's games both in the app and on ps5 store.
Okay so 2 games were available to download. Had to search for them. JC4 and Worms. Jump force is still $5.
Why is the website store so terrible? They donât make it easy to find the games do they.
@JimmyRiddle
Agreed. Played it when it was on PS Now and compared to 3, its a letdown.
@MightyDemon82 swiftly added to my wishlist
@JimmyRiddle Oh right. Still haven't played any of them.
Anyone else showing 9.99 for JC4? Other two games are free but JC4 is not.
@Feena Commiserations for missing Hollow Knight. But as @MightyDemon82 mentioned above it is inexpensive.
If you have ANY interest in the metroidvania sub-genre you must give it a go.
IMHO one of the best games of the last generation. Itâs that good. (First hour or so can seem simplistic and be a bit confusing till you get a map and figure things out... then it just gets better and better from there)
Canât wait for Silksong
@themightyant yeah I love metroidvania. I am gonna get that one
@JimmyRiddle thanks for info. I'll give JC4 a quick go, but I'm sure I'll drop it after a bit. Too bad the didn't keep the jc3 fun.
@Feena Just for the sake of a different perspective, I enjoy Metroidvanias very much, and found Hollow Knight was simply not for me, if not extremely overrated in general. The game's difficulty stems from heavy punishment for imperfection, which is something I don't appreciate in games. If you don't mind "souls-like" difficulty (for example, when you die in the game, you lose time, progress, and experience - potentially permanently if you don't make it back to where you were when you died - in an already difficult environment) then this may not bother you. I prefer difficulty that doesn't waste my time as found in games like Celeste for example, where dying means I can immediately try again with nothing lost. Starting over in a game with a few minutes lost is no big deal to me - starting over with 10 minutes lost, and then dying again and losing the last 30 minutes of experience is just not fun in my opinion. Different strokes for different folks though of course. I just wanted to mention this before you spend money on something you might potentially regret like I did.
@everynowandben Thank you for the info - Idk I have zero experience with souls-like games: I plan to try demonâs souls on ps5 as my entry in that kind of thing. I donât mind âdifficult gamesâ though, If itâs something like Cuphead I can enjoy it !
@Feena I like Cuphead too - thatâs the kind of difficult I can appreciate and enjoy. Unfortunately Hollow Knight uses a different type of difficulty mechanic. Itâs not a perfect analogue, but imagine in Cuphead if when you died, it took you back to the previous level instead of letting you try again, and it also took away the power-up you were using, and the only way you could get that power-up back is if you made it to the same spot in the level as where you died, all on your very next try. If you died again before you made it back, youâd lose that power-up completely, and youâd have to replay the levels you already beat in order to get your coins back in order to buy the power-up again. I view that as a waste of time, and difficult in a way that is too punishing and simply not fun. However, I do understand that some people get a rush of adrenaline from that, since the stakes are so high, but I personally find it frustrating. Hopefully that makes sense and illustrates the difference between these 2 types of difficulty.
@everynowandben sounds frustrating đ«
@everynowandben thatâs a fair criticism. Not something I felt personally, but I can understand it.
I feel the same about Rogue-likes and lites I keep buying them off the hype and then realise I dislike the loop. Been holding off Hades for this very reason.
Back to Hollow Knight I enjoyed the challenge. Though the main game isnât that hard (Couple of bosses, with save points right before, excepted) it does keep you honest as you can die anywhere if you get lazy. Personally I like that.
I feel too many games are zero challenge nowadays you can literally put the controller down for a bit and coast either that or cheesily hard. Hollow Knight balanced this beautifully for me, but I can see how itâs not for all.
However at only ÂŁ11.59 itâs a risk worth taking imho
I plan to only claim and download Just Cause 4, will be skipping the others.
