Who's ready for a new Dragon Age trailer? Wait, don't go — this one isn't just a load of concept art! It's an actual legit teaser trailer... With characters and stuff. Okay, look, it's CG, but it's the most we've been shown of this game so far.
"The world of Dragon Age needs a new hero – someone who can take on the evil forces threatening Thedas. Get a first look at some of the new locations you’ll discover and the factions fighting by your side in the next chapter of Dragon Age," reads the official summary.

@ShogunRok “Who's ready for a new Dragon Age trailer? Wait, don't go”
That tickled me. Inquisition is, according to My PS profile, my most played game on PS last gen. and I never even got round to the, apparently important, DLC. It had its high points but it really didn’t respect my time. Hope they fix the gameplay loop with less needless grind
@themightyant Same, I really enjoyed Inquisition (played through it about four times!) but you're right, it's stuffed with a lot of meaningless filler. A more story-focused Dragon Age would be great.
You’d think they’d wait until there was at least gameplay for this game before starting production on Mass Effect as well!
I thought Inquisition, and DA2 for that matter, were absolutely horrid when set against the absolute classic that was the original Dragon Age. Go back to the original game style please and I’ll be in.
Isn't this like the third trailer for this game we've gotten in a year? They need to piss off until they can show us actual gameplay.
I can't wait to play the new Dragon Age game....in about 7 more years give or take a year.
Welp I felt absolutely nothing watching that. However I do hope EAware can get back on its feet.
Also are they just gonna leave the remaining archdemons?
@Niktaw This looks like they may be going for a "reimagining" as at this stage they're just calling it Dragon Age not DA4. Be interested in how this pans out, but Jeezo Bioware, sort out the character animations as I don't think that's the fault of the Frosbite engine (assuming of course they're using that)...
@Profondo considering all the problems BioWare had with Frostbite In Inquisition & Andromeda sincerely hope they aren’t.
(That said they would have learnt some of the pitfalls, caveats and workarounds of the engine)

@Profondo
Yeah, had the same feeling. The art style seems also very different, almost cartoony with the frequent use of bright colors. Had some flashbacks from vanilla Diablo 3... am cautiously lowering expectations...
@nessisonett my thoughts exactly when I saw they released trailers for both games. God I really hope they don't screw this up
@ShogunRok @themightyant The second and third DLC fixed that a lot and the latter answered questions, it (Trespasser) is not only important but also the best part haha
Well, it's only CG but I like the settings and slightly lighter colour scheme personally. Think it will need to be mixed in well, but could be great. Not long finished Inquisition and all the DLC, think I did nearly all of the side quests as well, so looking forward to this.
@Jayofmaya Ah don't do that... I thought I was done with the game (at 400+ hours)
There's some weird revisionist history going on with Dragon Age 3. It reviewed REALLY well, yet a lot of people talk about it now like it was meh and the franchise has lost it's way. So weird. Personally I can't wait for more Dragon Age.
Lot of concerns to be skeptical.
Anthem. Nuff said.
@Ryu_Niiyama One of the Dragon Age: Inquisition expansions hinted at some deeper revelations to the nature of the blight and archdemons, so I expect we've still got more to come
@Jayofmaya Yeah Trespasser is a great DLC. It wraps the game up really nicely!
@themightyant Haha I recommended this to a friend who never played past the first DLC... If you have a cloud save to continue, download it, get the DLC and enjoy.
Can not wait for this! Inquisition held me over for roughly 2 years as I played it over and over again. Cassandra still remains my favorite female video game character. Super excited for a new install to the series.
@ShogunRok Glad you thought so, too! I think they tried to go more down the story telling route on that one. Also, the extra power you got from the mark got really epic at the last boss fight.
@Jayofmaya @ShogunRok I actually have all the DLC. I got it years later as the GOTY version but never got round to it.
I really liked aspects of DA:I but HATED other elements especially how it didn't respect my time. I had sort of decided to never go back. However as soon as I saw Solas in the earlier teaser trailer (no spoilers) I knew I should. (also saw pretty good reviews of the DLC, which honestly is a rarity)
Thanks for the push - seems I've got a bit of time to get to it.
Inquisition was great imho, I hope this will be on par or better!
I can’t disagree more with most of these commenters. DA:I was an awesome game. It looked great played really nicely and had a good deal of challenge on the very hard difficulty. I’m massively hyped for DA4.. bring it on
