When is Rust coming to PlayStation 4? Well, it's been hotly anticipated for quite some time now. The survival game, which has seen a surge in popularity thanks to Twitch streamers, originally launched on PC a few years ago. In the meantime, the console port has been in the works, but it's been delayed and pushed back a few times along the way.
Now, Double Eleven and Facepunch Studios have finally announced a release window. Rust is slated for Spring 2021. There's still no concrete date, but at least we now have a rough idea. You can expect to fight for your life in this online survival sim within the next couple of months. That is, provided there's no more delays.
Currently, the game is in development for PS4, and will be backwards compatible on PS5, but there's no native release for the new hardware.
Are you excited to finally play Rust on PS4? Hunker down in the comments section below.

Looks like the ability to run around Donald Ducking it has been removed on PS4 and Xbox going by the esrb rating, guess I’ll be sticking with the pal version of Conan exile for my nudist adventures in mass slaughter.
Why not PS5 also, just wierd they can't make it 4k 60fps on the new console!
I prefer valheim, ps5 port of valheim with cross-save will be really great I think
@wiiware I would play it if and when I can get my hands on a ps5.
@Brando2688 To be fair, the game is probably play fine on ps4, so if they port it to ps4 & ps5 as long as there's cross-save it's still good. The game is really addicting, I probably play most of my time in the game mining rock and cutting up tree for building my bases lol.
Man I hope ps5 stock situations improve and you get your ps5 soon
@Bytemare Because the PS4 has a far bigger play base currently against PS5 since you can't get one. And that means more people to buy in game Shi te
