IO Interactive Is Having Fun with Hitman 3's Patch Notes

Very clever Never played these games, but snagged Hitman 2 on the PS+ sale and excited to jump in! And I'll be keeping a close eye on Bond development.

Not gonna lie: that made me laugh. And I'm usually not a fan of developers making jokes in their patch notes.

@Darten Neither Hitman 1 nor 2 were ever broken. Even at launch.

I already bought Hitman 1 and 2 to play inside Hitman 3

The joke kinda could be read in the wrong light which could deter potential buyers.

The series us know to have unlocks being only accessible when connected online.
For someone misreading the patch notes/or knowing how the online requirement worked in hitman 1/2 they could come to the conclusion that a persistant connection is needed to even start the game (ala vermintide and some other war hammer games)

Never played one. Tried a demo on (I think) PS3, but didn't rate it. Think I added one to my list that was on Plus, but never yet downloaded it.

@Darten Yes, I agree. You shouldn't tar eveey developer with the same brush though.

Made me laugh. Wish i had the money to get it at launch but i'm skint until next month, by default though its the best Hitman game ever even before release because it will have all the levels and gear from the previous two games.

@TheIdleCritic Hitman 2 is about to be broken or already is. They're shutting down the servers which will render some trophies unobtainable.

@Milktastrophe Not having trophies is a far cry from being broken! Does Hitman 2 have any other online elements?

@PossibLeigh games with unobtainable trophies are broken because it makes them impossible to complete. Not having trophies entirely is a different story.

There's 2 online modes in Hitman 2. One, some ghost mode, shutdown already in the middle of last year. The second, some sniper mode, has been announced to shutdown before Hitman 3 releases. The sniper mode has associated trophies, the ghost mode didn't.

Thanks for the explanation there. I haven't put proper time in to a Hitman game since the original Hitman 2, so I think I'll get all 3 of the world or assassination trilogy at some point soon.

I have no care, or need for trophies, but sucks for those that do.

Remember, you'll get the Hitman 2 levels on H3 for free, and the H1 levels as well, if you own that (or you can essentially download them as DLC).
