It looks like developer Crystal Dynamics is still committed to making Marvel's Avengers a thing as it dates another War Table livestream well in advance of the air time. Scheduled to take place on 16th February 2021, the digital showcase will provide more information on the PlayStation 5 version of the game and fully unveil Hawkeye as a playable hero.
The bow and arrow-wielding character will join Kate Bishop in the loot-based experience, who was added to Marvel's Avengers last month. It remains to be seen if she will make an appearance in this second piece of free DLC, but what we do know is that Hawkeye will be going up against Maestro (the Hulk-like fellow in the background of the image above). Then there's the PS5 version, which we already know will be capable of running at 60 frames-per-second with a dynamic 4K resolution. We expect the livestream will also detail how Marvel's Avengers makes use of the PS5 DualSense controller and maybe even some Cards implementation.

I’m a massive Hawkeye fan and even I’m baffled that they chose Kate Bishop and Clint Barton to release at this most crucial time - between release and the initial attempts to make the game into something that’ll last.
I'm curious to see the PS5 version actually. I still think they can resurrect this with the right support.
Probably should just put it on PS Plus and Game Pass if they want more people to play/invest
@nessisonett This should have been a Marvel game instead of just Avengers. I would have prepared to play as other marvel hero’s, X-men would have been cool.
@ZAKtheRIPPER They should give up on this mind numbing game and make a single player X Men RPG set in Hickman’s recent run
@ZAKtheRIPPER They just had to chase the MCU market. Thing is though, with Covid and the delays, the MCU’s basically dead. I’m enjoying WandaVision but I can’t see the same mass appeal going forward with movies like The Eternals. Even with this game being Avengers though, they still could theoretically add X-Men like Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Wolverine.
@Nessisonett I don't know, the covid enforced break has probably done a lot of good for the MCU, cos it's brought a good rest from phase 3 to the point where it's likely to come out fresh again. Especially if Marvel position Black Widow as the first big film when cinemas reopen.
@get2sammyb I've been waiting for the PS5 version, personally. I'm still interested... though a bit worried about its future.
Like I've read elsewhere, the big thing is differing the characters enough, to make it seem like fresh characters. Ex, Barton and bishop, both bow and arrow artists, but will they play different enough? Same with she-hulk, will she be a reskinned hulk or differentiate herself enough. Same with ironman/war machine. Single player was awesome. I just don't know about the multiplayer aspect.
@AdamNovice I’ve honestly barely seen anybody even talking about WandaVision online. Only in the sorta circles that are die-hard fans. Black Widow should have been up for sale on D+ like Mulan I reckon, it doesn’t seem like the kind of movie which will set the world on fire and was coming out far too late even a couple of years ago.
I finished the story. Liked the game, but there wasn't enough content at launch to keep going after the story. Plus, I was tired of sitting through those ridiculous load screens that took forever.
Even had the game been a massive success, which we know it wasn't, I cannot fathom who sat around and thought it would be a good idea to make both of the first two DLC characters Hawkeye.
Hold up is that my boy Maestro
If y'all haven't please read Immortal Hulk. It's legit the best run on the main series since the Bruce Jones days
@ZAKtheRIPPER I mean at least there's Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 on Switch
@PhhhCough She-Hulk will probably be considerably more agile considering she's been depicted as less brute and more a mix of acrobatics and physical strength in both the comics and stuff like the 90's Hulk cartoon and Marvel vs. Capcom, while War Machine will also have stuff like his shoulder mounted machine gun and access to additional artilery that Iron Man doesn't have
It's still a pretty uninspired and MCU-derivative roster imo but it's something
Seems a little late for this title.
@TheFrenchiestFry makes me yearn for a ultimate alliance type game with the graphical level of avengers.
@nessisonett Actually, not really that weird, the Hawkeye series is set to debut this year on Disney+. Whether in be CD or Disney someone wants to pull the fans over.
@The_Real_JMK I think mua3, along with bayonetta 2/3, were funded by Nintendo. So unless Nintendo feels like porting those games, a switch is the only way to play.
Didn’t Crystal Dynamic recently announce, that work on the next Tomb Raider game has begun? Seems to me they don’t have plans to support this game for long. The state of Destiny 2 and Warframe in recent years has proven, that you can’t support a live service game with a skeleton crew.
@nessisonett “MCU’s basically dead” 🤣🤣🤣
Give me some of what you’re smoking
PS5 version release date would be nice, and hopefully they have a schedule planned out for 2021's slate of DLC.
@get2sammyb I hope they're able to pull a "No Man's Sky" and reinvent the game better somehow.
