Koei Tecmo has just released some new gameplay footage of Nioh 2's PlayStation 5 remaster, and yeah, it's looking good.
You can watch the new video above, which contains nearly 15 minutes of 4K, 60 frames-per-second footage of the PS5-enhanced action RPG. The original PS4 version was no visual slouch of course, but the extra hardware allows the game to run at a high resolution without sacrificing performance. You'll also notice near the start of the video an instant restart after death. No loading times to keep you from slaying those pesky demons.
Nioh and Nioh 2 are both getting PS5 remasters, and you will be able to buy them bundled together in The Nioh Collection. Whether you buy them together or separately, it's all launching on PS5 on 5th February 2021. Are you excited to play these games on PS5? Leave a message in the comments section below.

I’ve been holding off on the DLC for Nioh 2 until I pick up the collection. Is save data transferable?
so when is that Tencent console coming? Is there a rumor they buying take two?
If you find anything. Post it. I think tencent would shake things more than google or amazon. Since google already tried.
Am I the only one who thinks that a lack of loading times could be a negative for these kind of games? That thirty-or-so seconds gives me time to compose myself; if I'm put straight back into the action I'm more likely to rush in and get killed again
In fact, Bloodborne's loading times gave me chance to go and make a brew
@Jimmer-jammer good question. I’ve been waiting on the DLC too, but if I have to replay I won’t mind. I played hammers/heavy armor and basically destroyed the game the first time, would be nice to try a build that is less OP.
I read that as 60 minutes of 4K 15 FPS footage. Now that would be interesting.
@Mega-Gazz with the amount of weapon types and depth of customization, I too would gladly do another play through. I never touched hammers.
I fell madly in love with my switchglaive and phantom spirit with some hatchets on the side so there’s definitely a whole lot more to explore for me. I got so much out of this game yet still feel like I’ve only scratched the surface.
@Gremio108 I feel it’s the other way around. Having long loading times after dying is super frustrating for me. As if the death itself was not punishment enough.
Love, love Nioh. My favorite new franchise of last generation. In fact, i might seriously double dip and buy the collection to support the franchise and hopefully convince Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja to continue the series ever so further.
I will double dip because I love Nioh so much. My favourite game of the past decade, followed by FF7 Remake.
How is this game?
@stefan771 in my opinion it’s fantastic! It is a fairly hardcore experience though so your mileage may vary. If you like unforgiving but incredibly satisfying and technical hack n slash action games, it might just be up your alley. Have a good one!
@Jimmer-jammer I believe it was confirmed that you would be able to import your savedata from PS4 when they first announced the collection.

@SoulReaper-72 awesome! Thank you
Looks great, but I recently picked up the PS4 version of Nioh 2 and it already looks lovely on PS5 via back-compat.
Going to be supporting the dev already have Nioh 1 and 2 but for such great games they earned my support so will be getting the PS5 collection.
@SoulReaper-72 Yh would have been a shame to lose my killer Ninja etheral ×2 throwing damage on all equipment. With unlimited Kunai its a god tier built and spent over 300 hours perfecting it. Saying all that will still start a new game from fresh but always keep my build incase any Yokai get any ideas lol
Game will always be lovely. But l just wanna say that l thought it was funny that he had himself killed in the beginning to be silly.
Waiting until all Nioh 2 DLC is released, but def keeping my eye on this.
