Resident Evil Village Maiden Demo

Surprise! Resident Evil Village is getting a playable demo... And it's out right now on PS5. The demo is exclusive to Sony's current-gen system, and Capcom says that it's a little different to what you'll find in the full game. It weighs in at 3.9GB.

For starters, you'll be playing as the 'Maiden'. Unlike main character Ethan, the Maiden can't take part in any combat, so it looks like this demo's all about the atmosphere (and jump scares, no doubt).

Producer Peter Fabiano explains: "The Maiden demo doesn’t take place during the main story of Resident Evil Village. Maiden was originally designed as a visual demo that would allow you to explore the inside of Dimitrescu Castle, but it evolved to include a short story and puzzle solving."

It's also worth noting that a second demo for Resident Evil Village will be released this Spring. We imagine that one will be more representative of the game itself.
