Subnautica is an indie survival game set in the vast open sea of an alien planet. After finding success in early access on PC, the game made its way over to PlayStation 4. While not the optimal version of the title, it remains an immersive and creepy take on the genre. The game found a big enough audience that a follow-up, Subnautica: Below Zero, is in development right now.
As the name implies, Below Zero takes place in an arctic region of the same planet you explore in the original. We're not sure exactly when the project is wrapping up, but a newly found ESRB rating could suggest it's not too far off. On the rating board's website, a listing for the game clearly states it's coming to PS5, PS4, and many other platforms.
There's no hint of when it will hit consoles, but age ratings usually indicate things are nearly done. A release later this year doesn't seem out of the question, then, even if it's an early access version. Are you excited to play Subnautica: Below Zero on PS5 and PS4? @Ash_uk1 Same, loved the previous game, got the platinum 🙂 it looked great on the Pro be nice to see it running at 60fps on PS5
have this on pc improves on the brilliant first game, well worth the mislay £15 i paid for it.
I'm glad I held off the boat (heh) on ps4 because of the apparant issues, as the developer has confirmed a free PS5 upgrade is underway. Can't wait!
The title of this article is misleading.. gives the impression this game scores 0 🤣
this makes me happy I loved Subnautica!! hope it is not too far away.
Yeah looking forward to this. Originally I got the impression it was DLC, but it seems to be a full sequel, which is good news
@ShaiHulud I haven't experienced anything?!? Runs great. Love it!
Have not yet played the original. It's been in my backlog for a while now. Might as well move it next to the top of the list then
Very excited for this as the first one is fantastic.
@Gmork___ Good to hear that. It's not my first-hand experience so maybe things were a bit exaggerated by people (it's the internet after all).
I'm hoping to play the original this year at some point. Some people seem to have reported serious issues with the PS4 version, then other people seem to have no problems with it at all. Hopefully I'll be in the latter category! From what I've heard about it, it sounds absolutely brilliant.
@ShaiHulud yeah I only remember it running smoothly and having a wicked (if not terrifying) time lol. If there WERE any issues they were minor enough that I don't remember them
I was on pro btw
I hope they add PSVR support this time. They said they couldn't do it on the previous version because the PS4 wasn't powerful enough.
I’m super excited about this can’t wait
