You're going to want to put your swashbuckling plans to plunder treasure and sail the high seas on hold for a couple more months because PlayStation 4 pirate RPG King of Seas has just been delayed to May 2021. Originally scheduled to launch next week, publisher Team17 has decided to get in on the fun and sail its shipmates at 3DClouds to success. The developer will now use these extra couple of development weeks to improve the overall gameplay quality and implement more language options. Those will be German, French, Spanish, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
In a press release, Team17's head of studios Chris Coates commented on how excited the publisher is about King of Seas. "We are delighted to open up our studio resources here at Team17 to help further enhance what is already a hotly anticipated game and look forward to launching on PC & Consoles later this spring." 3DClouds CEO Francesco Bruschi added: "It’s a fantastic opportunity for 3DClouds and, especially, for King of Seas, which will reach new levels of quality and an even wider audience."
The game will be available for digital pre-order on the PlayStation Store soon at a price of £24.99/$24.99. Will you be leaving your comfortable life on land for a daring adventure across the ocean with King of Seas? Show us either your pegleg or talking parrot in the comments below.

Anyone else getting some Sid Meier's Pirates! vibes? Maybe wishful thinking...
@blackndark hope so!
“...extra couple of development weeks”? More like 3 extra months 🙄
Quite a lot of glowing graphical crap for a period piece.
Huh, I think it looks pretty cool. Hope it has detailed base building in addition to the shipbuilding they showed. Curious.
