Here's a cool little surprise for fans of both Ninja Gaiden and Nioh 2: you can now play as the classic assassin Ryu Hayabusa in the Yokai-slaughtering PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 title from today after downloading patch 1.26. The free update is available to download now and allows you to adopt the skin of the famous ninja from the Boons tab in any Shrine menu. Accompanying the new outfit are a number of bug fixes across both the PS4 original and the PS5 remaster in The Nioh Collection, which you can take a look at through here.
This announcement obviously follows in the footsteps of last night's Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection reveal, arriving on PS4 on 10th June 2021. The bundle will contain Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge along with lots of DLC. They appear to be ports instead of remasters, however.
Will you be booting up Nioh 2 in order to play as Ryu Hayabusa early? Let us know in the comments below.

the next best thing to a new Ninja Gaiden I suppose, He would be an amazing fit for Sekiro.
Haha, that's super cool. Nice that it's a free update, too — other publishers would charge!
That’s cool. Wish they would add Okatsu into the game though.
