Those of you planning to pick up a boxed copy of Little Nightmares II on the PlayStation 4 in the UK this week will have to wait a little longer – with publisher Bandai Namco blaming Brexit for the delay. The company took to Twitter to apologise for the set-back, stating that physical units were being pushed back due to “unforeseen changes”. It added that it’s doing “everything in our power to ship your copies as soon as possible”.
The game’s due out digitally and physically around the world on 11th February, but those of you in the UK and Northern Ireland will have to wait a “few extra days” due to changes in legislation which has made shipping products from the European Union a little more complicated. Obviously, this is the first time we’ve seen a product in the games industry directly affected by Brexit, so hopefully publishers are able to adapt to the alterations quickly as things begin to settle down.
As for the game itself, it’s worth the wait – even if it’s not perfect. In our Little Nightmares II PS4 review, we explained: “The title relies far too heavily on trial and error, which frustrates, but many of its encounters will live with you long after the credits roll, and so it’s successful at creating a lasting impression.”

Oh no! 😱
🙄
(Yes, that's all I have to say. This is filler.)
I wasn't even aware there were physical copies available. I had looked to preorder it that way but didn't see it available. Hmm. Oh well.
Edit: actually I just remembered I'd looked and found there was no physical deluxe edition. that's what I was thinking of. So nevermind I guess.
Brexit has made everyone's life so much better in the UK. We're all dancing in the street with all that extra money going into the NHS and not because we can't get the games we pre-ordered ready for release!
I'm waiting for the vote so I can let my town separate from the rest of the UK and then next I will vote for my street to separate from the rest of the town and then my house to separate from the rest of the street.
Well this is awkward.. I got an email this morning telling me my TV edition had been dispatched. Wonder if they were telling me fibs..🤔
Such a lazy excuse. It’s not like companies have not had ample opportunity to prepare and many other companies are doing just fine.
Not a big deal anyway.
Great news. I'm hyped for this.
@CFDennett yeah same here...
If the statement "this is the first time we’ve seen a product in the games industry directly affected by Brexit" is true and the company says "due to unforeseen changes with Brexit," I would say the company is truly at fault. They should blame their legal team for misinterpreting the law. Seems incorrect to blame anyone other than Bandai Namco when no other gaming company has had this issue.
@thefourfoldroot exactly there's been plenty time to sort things out
United Kingdom includes Northern Ireland, either say Great Britain and Northern Ireland or just United Kingdom.
Aside from that a GAME email said yesterday they were packing my TV Edition, so fingers crossed I'll be lucky and get it on release day.
@thefourfoldroot brexit is a giant flustercluck. As someone who deals with this monstrosity every single day at work I can assure you that your version of ample time is a joke. Try reading factual news rather than a Facebook feed. The extra logistics involved is ludicrous for zero upside.
@feral1975 possibly they mean Ireland and the UK, Ireland has been slightly screwed by the UK's midlife crisis.. Oh hey, soon we'll need to fill out custom forms to send things from GB to NI so whoop to that too.
@Liberty____1st
I do work for a company importing and exporting from all over the world. Brexit legislation was nothing. The problems we are having currently is a lack of containers and profiteering with shipping from Asia.
Lots of companies have clearly managed, I can’t comment on yours.
And yes, from a company and financial perspective there is currently absolutely zero upside I agree, this is not a Brexit debate though, this is a using Brexit as a get out of jail free card debate.
Oh, and I never have and never will use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any such service.
they had years to get this in order absolute rubbish😡 like remainers had corps believing democracy would stop? just because they want it so! unbelievable😡
