The Division 2 developer Massive Entertainment is looking to fix the game's recently reported graphical issue on PlayStation 5 this week. For those out of the loop, the looter shooter is missing a key visual features when played on PS5 via backwards compatibility. More specifically, there's a complete lack of volumetric lighting, giving the game a bit of a flat look.
Fortunately, it sounds like the problem should be solved very soon. There'll be a three-hour maintenance period for The Division 2 on the 16th February, which promises a fix for the missing volumetric lighting on PS5.
Good stuff, then. Have you been playing The Division 2 on PS5? Hoard some gear in the comments section below.

Hope it gets fixed very soon. I plan on playing it on PS5. I'm sure Digital Foundry will analyse it again 😎
So maintenance on the servers will fix a local graphical issue? I know this is essentially an online-only game but still interesting.
No I haven't.
Its too confusing with all the bloat.
@badbob001 no, it said the fix was going to included during the maintenance, not the maintenance is the fix.
Good to see this getting fixed so fast!
Kudos all around.
Man didn't even notice about the graphicals issue, too busy playing the game in 60 fps lol.
@badbob001 there is an online essence but the whole campaign is playable on your own if you so desire..
All I know is I hooked up my ps5 Monday night after finally being able to order one and the first time I played division 2 I knew I would never play it in ps4 again it looked amazing and the load times were phenomenal no more 80% load dropping back to 40% just 10 seconds or less and in game playing
