Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is already enhanced on PlayStation 5 thanks to a recent patch that allows the PS4 game to run at 60 frames-per-second via backwards compatibility. But going by a newly spotted age rating, a native PS5 version could also be incoming.
Ratings like this aren't always concrete confirmation that something is happening, but they tend to exist for a reason. In this case, it's German ratings board USK that's stuck a '16' on Fallen Order, specifically for PS5. The rating was filed earlier this month.
We would assume that if this is indeed a full PS5 version, we'll be looking at 60 frames-per-second at a much higher resolution. We wouldn't be surprised if various graphical enhancements are also part of the package.
Obviously we'll have to wait for EA to make an official announcement, but until then, let us know if you're a Fallen Order fan in the comments section below.

@Total_Weirdo its good enough to not even say EA - its just a really good single player star wars game
Glad to see this! The original game was pretty great, but there was enough jank that it definitely could've used one more QA pass. I'm sure a new version would smooth over all the issues.
@Total_Weirdo I liked it a lot. Might play again if it's a free upgrade.
This game is bad.
@willi3su Have you played it?
My son wrapped this uo a few weeks ago and he said it was terrific! Great for those that haven't played it if it does come to fruition
Is definitely give this another go. Was a great game.
I really enjoyed it and got the Platinum, but it was a bit of a slog towards the end. A very, very good game though, and I hope there's a sequel
If you haven't already definitely play this one at some point
Easily the best of the EA-era Star Wars titles and probably among my top 3 favorite Star Wars games in general. Its influences are definitely obvious if you've played Metroidvanias before or you're used to Sekiro or Nioh's style of combat, but the story it tells is honestly well above most recent Star Wars media that's come out recently in terms of quality and emotional resonance
It actually got me excited to talk about Star Wars again after the divisive reception to the Disney era stuff and the state of the fandom just kind of soured everything for me
Had this installed on my PS5 for a while now, maybe I'll just wait.
@Octane I beat it. Between the constant glitches, inconsequential story, and awful combat, I'd say its one of the worst Star Wars games ever made. Far cry from the golden age of SW games back in the early-mid 2000s.
@willi3su I'll respect your opinion on combat and story - it's your opinion; but glitches? I played the game on Xbox One X like late last year and I don't remember the game being a glitchy mess or anything. It was a very smooth experience.
On topic: I really enjoyed the game on Xbox. I wouldn't replay if there was a Smart Delivery upgrade, though. I might fire it up just to see what's new of the previous gen version; but this game holds up pretty well with the BC upgrades that were already implemented.
I'll play this game one of these days.
@willi3su Can't be worse than that horrible PS1 Star Wars fighting game. THAT game was horrendous. I'm actually glad I lost my copy as a kid.
Still playing this on ps5, already satisfied with 60 fps upgrade but I can't say no to native ps5 experience π
@willi3su I definitely wouldn't call the story inconsequential by any stretch of the imagination considering it sprungboard off of very consequential events from other Star Wars lore from the films. It's more standalone but it has characters that are literally the way they are because of consequences from their actions
@willi3su I personally didn't experience an excess of glitches, maybe one or two. Thought it was a solid experience. Story was pretty good, and it's definitely on par with the standard SW stuff. Combat felt good as well. I don't know what you're talking about!
@Total_Weirdo its alright ,I think it gets more credit because its an ea single player star wars game and they didn't totally mess it up,played it on xbox so don't know what the ps version is like
@willi3su I wouldn't go as far as to say its the worse star wars game,it isn't as great as some people make out,its a competent star wars and worth a play.
Good game, marred by a single unfair difficulty spike
I enjoyed it, finished the story. Glitch wise, I couldn't get one of the bounty hunters to scan so was locked out of a trophy. So never bothered finding all the secrets in the end.
If you like the modern Tomb Raiders and Star Wars you'll 100% enjoy this imo
Playing this on Gamepass for pc
Itβs meh so far
I played several hours of this on XBSX via games pass. Really enjoyed it at first. It had fun puzzles, cool exploration elements, a nice narrative and it felt cool to draw your light saber of course.
It doesn't take too long until you realise that the combat is incredibly weak though unfortunately. It is really sloppy feeling. You don't feel like a bad ass Jedi. You don't even feel like an up against it soldier that can defeat anything if they're skilled enough like in Souls games. You feel like you're fighting the controls and mechanics themselves in order to stay alive. A great deal of the encounters do have that tense feeling of a souls game but only because the parry function feels off and your robot healing buddy only responds when he feels like it, usually a second too late and when you're in harms way.
It ended up being too much of a struggle for me to bother with and I stopped playing. It's one thing to be hard, it's another to be hard because of poor design. I'm honestly not sure how so many people overlooked how bad the combat was. It was game ruining for me.
@GamingFan4Lyf If you played on a Xbox One X. You most likely never ran into problems. Most who report issues usually was playing on a base console specifically the base Xbox One which this game had a lot of issues on.
Best star wars game bar none..awesome game and one i will replay on the ps5..
Happy news if confirmed to be true, hope it's a free upgrade!
Also secretly wishing they add story DLC to keep fans distracted until a proper sequel is announced/released.
