Forget about Returnal going gold and Sony confirming a Ghost of Tsushima movie is in production. This is by far the best PlayStation announcement you're gonna get today. PM Studios has confirmed that the utterly beautiful Hoa will be coming to both PS5 and PS4 this July after making a name for itself due to its colourful and dazzling visuals and very relaxing platforming. See what we mean in the seven-minute gameplay walkthrough embedded above โ we challenge you to not fall asleep whilst listening to the tranquil voice of art director Son Tra. This is absolutely one to look out for over the summer months.
Announced over on the PlayStation Blog, the PS5 version will support the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. As Hoa runs out of energy, it'll be harder to pull the R2 trigger while the haptic feedback "will mimic actions and events over the course of the game". You'll even be able to hear the grass and trees rustling in the wind through the pad's speaker. Lovely stuff.
Marketing director Paul Hartling then sums the experience up nicely: "Hoa features breathtaking hand-painted art, lovely music, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere as you navigate the world with a keen eye to solve exploration-based puzzles. Experience the magic of nature and imagination as you play as the main character, Hoa, on her journey through heartwarming environments back to where it all began for her." The narrative is all about breathing life back into animals who are awakening from a long slumber, and the further Hoa goes, the more she learns about herself and her home. The game will be available both on the PS Store and physically.
We're really quite chuffed about this announcement โ Hoa was a game this scribe was looking forward to on Nintendo Switch, but now it'll be better than ever on PS5. Do you like the look of it too? Let us know in the comments below.

Do want. Been following this game for a while. It looks wonderful
I quite like the whole haptic + speaker ambience so far although Mortal Shell has been going a bit overkill. This looks lovely and Iโd definitely get it on PS5.
Oh wow. I'd never even heard of this game before.
Adding it straight to my wishlist. It looks amazing, and the haptic features sound great.
Looks cute, itโs like non-violent platformer ๐
Looks gorgeous. ๐คฉ๐
Looks cool - reminds me of Seasons After Fall, I guess?
Reminds me of Ni no Kuni. Not a bad thing I guess...
Edit: This video is so calming on so many levels!
My wife is very smitten by this, itโll be a buy for us for sure. A relaxing and cute video game is something my wife has been looking for.
That art style is SO miyazaki!
