If you're looking forward to playing Wreckfest when it hits PlayStation Plus on the 4th May, you might want to take a quick look at the game's next-gen features trailer. For those who don't know, Wreckfest originally released on PS4 in 2019. The upcoming PS5 version has the usual bells and whistles, like 60 frames-per-second performance, enhanced visuals, and fast load times.
Interestingly, Wreckfest is still set to launch for PS5 on the 1st June, meaning that PS Plus subscribers get it almost a whole month early. What's more, if you're not nabbing it through PS Plus, upgrading from the PS4 version will cost you $9.99 / £8.99. Bit of a weird one, this.

Can’t wait, PS4 was awesome 😎😎👍🏻
Great game! Excited to play the upgrade. Hope they've increased the debris count.
So, is it not completely finished, or held back for a month? Very strange.
Coming June 1st, says the trailer....
I tried it on PS Now and it was fairly enjoyable from what I tried. Graphics are fairly bad though so hopefully the PS5 version will look a bit better maybe? Same with another Plus game that's on Now, Stranded Deep. Man, those graphics are UGLY!
@thefourfoldroot it is completely finished.... they are just releasing it a month early for PS+ member. That's all.
Anyhow, the fact that you don't need to pay for the upgrade if you are PS+ member is nice.
Stoked for this, I'm jonesing for a PS5 racing game.
Tried it on PS Now and had a blast. Can't wait to give it a go with its new lick of paint.
That £10 for upgrading seems even more ridiculous now then it did when first announced given PS Plus freebie.
Played it on PS4 and was decidedly unimpressed but will give it another shot on PS5.

I agree, it’s a good racing game, especially because it’s free. But I still prefer NFS Heat and The crew. (The antialiasing on the crew seems better on a PS5 than my Pro as well)
I preferred the destruction bowls in Destruction Derby when the car used to fly 100ft in the air on impact. More realistic.
One of the most fun racers on the PS4....just nuts races where anything can happen
