Blimey, not only is NieR Replicant a great game, but it's also done pretty well for itself in the latest UK sales chart. The remastered experience from Yoko Taro forces FIFA 21 out of the top spot and claims it for its own. The rest of the top 10 is very much business as usual — Nintendo Switch exclusives dominate the run in while Grand Theft Auto V keeps on cropping up — but this must surely be great news for Square Enix and co. There's also room for the controversial Cyberpunk 2077, which rounds out the top 10 in last place.
Back to NieR Replicant and 89% of sales were made on PS4, but it sold 50% fewer copies than NieR: Automata did during its first week on the market. One other new entry for the week ending 24th April 2021 was MotoGP 21, which slotted in at 19th. It sold best on PlayStation 5, with the current-gen platform accounting for 37% of overall sales.
As we continue to highlight, these statistics are based purely on sales of physical versions, which means we don't have the full picture given how important digital sales are nowadays. Still, it's nice to see NieR Replicant topping the chart across the United Kingdom. Speaking of which, the Push Square review will be with you soon.
Here's the latest top 10 in full.

I'm glad NieR Replicant is succeeding. It's a breath of fresh air amidst the usual soccer games, Call of Duty game, GTA V, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing, etc. that crowd half the list most of the time.
Been playing Nier 25h so far, it's a really great game (although it has some flaws but those are minor). It really deserves to sell well
So happy about this. Finally getting the recognition it deserves.
If this means Yoko gets more money to make his insane games then the world is a better place.
So happy this doing well now.......Drakengard remastered please ^__^
I was going to post how happy I was, but that seems to have been well covered. I'll just add, look at my baby, Cyberpunk, still hanging in there at number 10! Who'd a thunk it?
The people are hungry for new releases, I bet. But it makes me happy as well to see some diversity.
Now, Returnal debuting at No. 1 next week will be the icing on the cake.
I definitely never thought I'd see the day a Nier game topped a sales chart but here we are. Really is pretty amazing how much interest Automata created for the brand. Good to see for sure!
It actually is nice to see something new on this list. It's been kinda dull and samey as of late.
Automata was the break out game for Taro (in terms of widespread exposure) and showed many people how talented he is as a director.
I just hope that with Replicant ver 1.22 out, more people will look back and try Drakengard and Drakengard 3. Yes they are janky, however their stories are great.
Il have to get it at some point. So much for Automata being a fluke eh lol
Based on a thread on Steam it's not doing so well on PC performance wise. Looks like Nier Automata all over again sadly.
It's good to see Yoko Taro was proven wrong. (He thought Automata would be a fluke)
Best thing about nier automata was that android ass. Thot cosplayers certainly helped in the marketing department.
I hope this means Mr. Taro doesn’t have to throw copies out of a van like he was predicting
Nice, I'm glad yoko taro games is successful now, I hope we can get drakengard series remake with updated gameplay or nier automata sequel
And 89% sales on ps4 is great, playstation users is supporting japanese games
I'm holding off for returnal, I still have my pro aswell so i had to pre order with biomutant also. Just hope returnal warrants the price. This game punished me last gen 😂.
Automata made this game good, I feel like that's why it's scoring so high, either way I liked it on the 360 and I'll buy this version especially when it's a different protagonist
