After a delay of over a year, Black Widow will finally release in cinemas and on streaming this summer. And maligned superhero brawler Marvel’s Avengers AIMs [Pun intended - Ed] to get you ready for the movie with its Red Room takeover event, which is available to play now until 31st May.
“Multiple hacked HARM Rooms will be available during this event along with new mission chains,” the official blurb reads. “These hacked HARM Rooms are single player only as they require agility and a keen sense of one’s surroundings that may be interrupted by having a team. Each of these will also scale from Power Level 1 to 120.”
The plot goes that a number of “anomalies” have been detected within the HARM Room, with the hack being traced back to Rooskaya Protocols and, ultimately, Yelena Belova. You’ll get a bunch of XP for completing the Red Room, as well as an animated nameplate to commemorate the occasion.
This is all coinciding with an update to the game’s levelling system. Where previously XP would become obsolete once you reached Level 50, you’ll now earn Champion XP beyond that point, which will unlock Champion Skill Points you can then spend on gameplay buffs. It’s just another way to extend the lifespan of the title, we suppose, but it seems like a sensible addition.

Not enough to make me buy it. Especially Black Widow.
Each update, this game's inherent desperation to basically just appeal to the MCU crowd just becomes more and more obvious. It doesn't even do it well
It’s impressive just how uninterested I am in the Black Widow movie despite seeing every single other MCU movie in the cinema since 2008. It just feels stale and unnecessary considering it’s just set randomly in the past.
@TheFrenchiestFry It’s the NEW OUTFITS FOR ALL HEROES..... (available in marketplace) that gets me.
@nessisonett Honestly if it weren't for my boy Taskmaster being in it I probably would've skipped it. I'm glad out of the current slate it's the one getting a simultaneous Disney+ launch because it's the only one out of the lineup I wouldn't be bothered to see in theaters
as soon as this game goes free
it's too bad about this game...when it drops to $20 or below then I'll cop it.
Does anyone still play this?
@Icey664 Yup. Though it seems they have a team consisting of two persons max still working on it. The events tend to be laughable and don't add much to the game.
@nessisonett I agree. It seems a bit pointless detailing her backstory after the events of Endgame.
@TheFrenchiestFry I feel Task is being done dirty in the film. There is no scenario where Widow can beat him 1v1, he looks to have been nerfed.
The main reason I want to see The Black Widow movie is because it's setting up for Florence Pugh(who is an amazing and beautiful actress) to take Scarlett Johansson's place as Black Widow. Also Scarlett Johansson is amazing and this is her last main Black Widow thing so it should be good.
But that's beside the point, I just can't find any reason why I would buy this game unless it was $10 or free on PS Plus lol.
@nessisonett Yeah, my issue with it is that this movie feels like it's releasing six years too late. More importantly, it feels weird that they're setting this 'prequel' in the recent past and not in her pre-Avenger days when she was more of an anti-hero, which I think would be much more interesting. I'm sure it'll be entertaining, but we already know how her story ends and I don't see it adding much more to the lore other than setting up her sister to replace her later.
@nessisonett Really i love the actress on her own so i cant wait to see it. Its on of the movies of this movieuniverse i want to see. 🤪
@strawhatcrew Im more hoping of a Insomniac version of the game. 😅
@nessisonett They'll probably find a way to bring her back lol
I couldn't care less about the game event, will just watch the movie!
