Koch Media, the owner of franchises such as Saints Row, Dead Island, Metro, and TimeSplitters, will be hosting its first-ever digital showcase in collaboration with Summer Game Fest. The event will take place on Friday, 11th June 2021 at 8pm BST / 9pm CEST / 12pm PT / 3pm ET. It has been teased that "more than a dozen" gaming announcements will be made throughout the show. Of course, we'll keep you right up to date with those reveals as they happen here on the site.
Dubbed the Koch Primetime Gaming Stream, we now turn our attention to speculating what these more than 12 reveals could be. Saints Row 5 seems like a safe bet since we know it's been in development for quite some time now, and the same could be said of Dead Island 2. It's insane to think the sequel was announced seven years ago, but the developer has continued to reiterate the game is still in production. We also know that a new Metro game is in the works, but it may be too soon for any sort of reveal of that to take place. The same goes for the TimeSplitters project, which has literally only just started development.
However, with more than 12 announcements confirmed for the digital event, we'd only cover a third of the reveals even if all of these titles put in an appearance. It looks like Koch Media is cooking up a big show as a result. For a lot more information on All Upcoming PS5, PS4 Events, Livestreams, and Press Conferences, head on through the link. All dem games are goodz, but mostly interested in what they do with Saints now.
Saints Row 5 soon please 🙏🏻
Saints Row 1-2 remakes and Saints Row 4 PS5 patch/upgrade/remaster, please!
I of course also want Saints Row 5, that would be super awesome.
@KidBoruto fully agree that 1 and 2 need some love. I really enjoyed 3,4, GOH but 1 and 2 were fun too.
So with this being Koch Media, would that exclude anything from the THQ Nordic side of Embracer then? I'm expecting Destroy All Humans 2 to get revealed soon with all the teasing, but I'm guessing that would be somewhere else during E3 time.
Really curious to see what direction they take for Saints Row 5. I feel like now is an opportune time for a reveal with Rockstar being silent on GTA6 and giving us another version of 5, of course they can't compete on the scale and budget of current Rockstar but there's a niche to be carved for fans of the classic style games, which was kind of what the first two entries offered back in the day.
Equally I think now is a good time to bring back Dead Island 2 with Dying Light 2 approaching.
@KidBoruto I would love to see the first two games on PS4 and 5. Not sure if I'd want remakes or something more along the lines of what we got with 3 and 4 on PS4 with some tweaks to improve playability, but I would welcome either option. Ditto for 4 getting another re-release so it's on the same level as 3 too.
SR5 is one I'm looking forward to the most from them, I hope they make it more like SR2 rather than 3 & 4.
Saints row 1 & 2 remastered or we riot
Super hyped for anything Saints Row!!
@Orpheus79V I think this event will be focused purely on the IPs that fall under the Koch Media ownership. It is a weird situation because Embracer Group theoretically owns them all and so THQ Nordic and Koch Media are just sort of the same thing.
Saints Row is one of my all time favourite series. Can't wait to see what they do with it
@Would_you_kindly @Orpheus79V @Danloaded Fingers crossed one of their big announcements is Saints Row 1-2 remakes, we can wait on Saints Row 4 being upgraded for PS5.
We also still want Saints Row 5 too of course, it's been a long time since 4 released.
@KidBoruto i think saints row 1 & 2 should've been remastered instead of 3 because they were much better games & replaying them you can really see the age of them I'm not sure about a saints row 5 because I didn't think 3 & 4 were that good
I thought Saints Row was dead, they closed the Developer...
Agents of Mayhem 2 lol

By August 2019, Volition is "deep in development" on a new installment in the Saints Row franchise. At this time, it had 174 employees, and has close to 200 as of February 2020. In May 2020, Koch Media and THQ Nordic, by this time both part of Embracer Group, exchanged some intellectual property rights, including Red Faction, which was handed to Deep Silver. Volition had approximately 230 employees in March 2021.
Saints Row 1-2 remake or Saints Row 5, please.
