Bandai Namco teased it, and now the first gameplay clips for The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes are here. A trailer heavily emphasises the differences between the Theatrical Cut and Curator's Cut, highlighting how a scene can change depending on positioning and context between the two modes. The third entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology is still slated for release this year, but no firm date has been given just yet. At least eight minutes of gameplay embedded above is here to serve as an appetiser before that reveal rolls around.
Footage details an army squad's intrusion into some sort of underground bunker in Iraq, but there are some monsters waiting for them in the shadows. Ashley Tisdale of High School Musical fame stars in the game. Do you like what you see? Much of an improvement over Man of Medan and Little Hope? Share your own thoughts in the comments below.

Disappoints me that none of these newer games (Man of Medan/Little Hope) have really been a patch on Until Dawn.
The general story telling and the facial animations aren't really close. Until Dawn looked alot better even though it released some years ago. Kind of feels like they've put much less man hours into these more recent titles.
Looking forward to the next one!!
Man of Medan and Little Hope are both very good games. I enjoyed the Little Hope’s Salem-esque witch trial story a bit more than Man of Medan’s haunted ghost ship setting, but that’s just personal preference.
IMHO...
Every game has value and is worth buying, if it’s at the right price. On my jgrangervikings1 “video game value meter,” both Man of Medan and Little Hope are worth buying...
—Man of Medan at $19.99
—Little Hope at $24.99
If you get ‘em cheaper than that, the games are even better!
@HMazzy111 i think the main reason until dawn worked is because it actually did have monsters that were real after the fake out that everything was a prank.
Both Man of Medan and Little Hope fell flat when everything is hammered in that the danger isnt real. I hope this one one doesn't pull the same thing again but I just know the Curator will say 'everything is not what it seems' and things will take a nose dive. Dont get me started on Little Hopes ending lol
Until Dawn just had a lot more development time and thought/care behind it.
I like the idea of this series but have to admit I'm losing interest in it
It would be awesome if the third game was actually a rhythm game or an arcade racer.
I loved until dawn. there more recent games have been trash imo
Even though The Dark Pictures aren't as good as Until Dawn, there still very much are no other games like this, so I'm thankful. Plus it still counts as a great couch "co-op".
Looks good. I love what Supermassive are doing in the horror medium that no one else is and will pick up a physical copy day one to show my support.
I just started my playthrough of Little Hope so the platinum will soon be mine.
Looks very promising
I was expecting a solid release date by now, hopefully it's revealed during E3 or Summer Games Fest.
