Ubisoft is planning to go big at E3 this year, with its Ubisoft Forward event set to give us a good look at upcoming titles Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six: Extraction. But it's not just about new games for the French publisher — it's also promising updates on various "live" titles, including Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
The open world RPG will be a part of Ubisoft's main show, so it's fair to assume that there'll be some reasonably important news. We already know that the game's second expansion, The Siege of Paris, is due to release this summer, so a trailer and a confirmed date could well be on the cards.
Details on free updates are a possibility as well, and while unlikely, we wouldn't rule out a tease for Valhalla's long rumoured third expansion — assuming that it really is happening. Whatever gets shown, we're sure that Valhalla fans will have something to talk about.
Are you still playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla? Start planning your siege of Paris in the comments section below.

I really appreciate Ubisoft for their continued support with additional updates and content for their games.. yes they start buggy and I didn’t think I was too big a fan... though I have found myself playing Watch Dogs Legion on my ps5 in 60FPS and it’s awesome! Can’t wait to get back to Valhalla, I stopped after about 40 hours
Maybe they’ll announce a fix for my platinum trophy!
@Voltan Having waited months for the extra fabric on map to work i then find i can't get the big guards to have a red icon over their heads due to still having the extra high stat rewards you get once you get to lvl 400. In the end i just gave up and uninstalled the thing.
After that mediocre druids expansion, I'm definitely done with this game and future Ubisoft titles until they innovate and update their engines. This copy and paste into a new game corporate scheme has gotten old.
@NateGoesLive they start buggy and they end even buggier 😁
I was always the biggest defender of AC but they lost me on this one.
I think they need to do a complete reset for the next one. Do away with the convoluted plot and lore (and everything) and just start again from scratch.
I stopped playing and deleted when I ran into a bug which stopped the quest I was on from continuing. This is when I realised I could be playing games that have far better and smarter developers that know how to program. It’s unacceptable these days for games to be in these states months past. Their problem is they try to get more large and ambitious obviously for their own good.
Currently playing the Island expansion and its really good so i'm very excited for the Paris one. I know people like to hate on the game but as someone who put nearly 200 hours into it and is still not tired i'm more then happy for more content, i also feel the expansions are very high quality and add a ton of content and feel like actual expansions rather then 1-2 hour side missions.
Valhalla checks all of the right boxes for me, but for some reason I can't connect with it.
I play a lot of RPGs, some open world, some not, and I haven't really played much Assassin's Creed since the second game. The last few open world entries kept grabbing my attention though, so I jumped in on this one.
I'm usually self aware enough to know why I don't get along with a game. Still, I can't tell you exactly what Valhalla is missing, and I really want to like it, but after 45 hours it's definitely lacking something.
Maybe I'm too used to traditional RPGs, and this is more of an action adventure game with RPG elements? I don't know.
i think valhalla has so many things going for it, but i can't get over how there basically aren't any clothing physics? it makes everything look sooo janky and i don't understand how this team can backtrack so much in that department. in the wotd expansion, they even added legacy outfits from origins which just brought even more attention to how bad it is. very puzzling...
Nice - Loved the base game, and exploring the world. So excited for more content.
If publishers give a good initial bang for the buck, people will come back for more quality DLC (Especially story ones)
Ubi, has been in a groove with the last 3 AC games.
@Shepherd_Tallon it's definitely missing that "special something." odyssey was missing it too. i think it has a lot to do with how disconnected everything feels and how bland the main characters are. i loved bayek and still can't fathom why they didn't give his character a sequel.
"Are you still playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla?"
Why yes Robert, I am still playing it, because the bloody game never ends. I'm 56h in and it still shows 60% on "Eivor's quest" in my activities card.
I hope Ubisoft goes back to the older AC style before Origins. I really miss the big cities and big crowds and whatnot. To be fair I didn't try Valhalla I might pick it up on PS5 whenever I get one but Odyssey was just too bloated for me.
It's kind of funny Prince of Persia went away because Assassins Creed scratched that itch(for some folks but I still want POP back.) Then Assassins Creed went away because the new Assassins Creed games are pretty much just The Witcher with more bloat.
@wildcat_kickz There's definitely a disconnect in there. It almost felt like there was a higher priority on clearing the map than experiencing the story. There needs to be a better balance there perhaps.
I tried really hard to get passed that by getting invested in the characters, but I think "bland" as you said is, unfortunately, the ideal word in this case.
@Athrum Hahaha!
Does it still have weak tinnysound? That broke the game for me
@Shepherd_Tallon If you want the best of the last 3 AC games, go with Origins. Everything is better : the setting (more exotic), the combat (more tactile, less MMORPG-like), the character (Bayek is cool AF, and a character you can relate to), the story (it actually makes sense in the AC canon without going full on mythological), the size of the world (massive, but not too much).
Really, to me, it's one of the best game of the PS4 generation, you can't go wrong!
I enjoyed it, not the best game ever and not the worst, didn't get too many bugs only the you have to be anonymous one. But I only had the std version and I can't justify paying another 20 to 30 for the season pass for the expansion.
Rumoured third expansion? Maybe they could in the missing parts of England. Or even add in Wales & Scotland DLC
Somewhere there needs to be a third expansion to explain how Eivor gets to [deleted for spoiler], and to wrap up the modern day story
I think the Druid dlc was all right!!! Although since Loki has experienced this story through Eivor’s eye…to be honest I was looking forward some ISU lore expansion regarding the Irish & the Druids history/mystery…
@Olmaz That's definitely some solid praise. 🤔
I might give it a go the next time I'm stuck for something play.
Thanks for the advice! 🙂
More Valhalla…that’s sure to ignite the viewers with excitement.
Well that's just.......zzzzzzzzzzzz
I plan on playing soon. I put off playing it whilst they iron things out and by all accounts for the most part the game looks to be on track. I've been dying to explore the world in this game, watching others play it looks beautiful.
I'll buy a copy when the game becomes more affordable.
I wish this game would be console/pc cross-buy.
Great. More porridge.
Remember when Ubisoft used to innovate
Feel like I'm a member of Valhalla anonymous, can't really disagree with most of the complaints but just can't quit it. Eivor roams around fighting people and travelling to glowing dots on the map, on repeat. Played about 70 odd hours now, the activity cards shows I've completed 20% of Eivors quest! Ratchet out this week which looks great, probably finish that and then go back to Valhalla ready for Paris.
On the subject of the Ubi broadcast wouldn't be surprised if some kind of 'Year 2' pass was revealed which includes the third expansion and extra content in 2022.
150+ hours in and still enjoying it
