The announcement of Salt and Sacrifice might have fallen under the radar during the commotion of E3 2021, but now that the dust has settled, it's time to dive into what makes the sequel to Salt and Sanctuary tick. For those who missed it, the follow-up will launch on PlayStation 5 and PS4 in Q1 2022 for $19.99. And to get everyone better acquainted with what to expect, Ska Studios has released nearly 10 minutes of gameplay.
Footage details the Paladin class on its way to hunt a Pyromancer. Local and online co-op returns in the sequel, even allowing you to join multiplayer factions such as the Dawnlight Order and Shroud Alliance. James Silva, found of Ska Studios, said: "Seeing the multiplayer aspects of Salt and Sacrifice come to life has been really cool. There are so many interesting things we can do with our different factions’ goals within this perilous Mage-wracked world." The game still looks to retain that tough but fair nature, though, coupled with 2D action and boss fights galore.

Oh yes. That's the stuff.
I was going to finish work late tonight anyway. Might as well add 10 minutes to it.
Edit: Those menu sounds are very satisfying.
Very happy this game is happening.
I'm so pumped for that game! Salt and Sanctuary is so damn good! I generally don't have the patience to finish metroidvanias, but this one just hooked me up from start to finish.
This is the only 2D souls-like I've played that nails perfectly the Souls formula, I can't wait to see what they have in store in the new one!
Looks exactly the same as the first game.
This will be an amazing couch coop just like the first game, can't wait!
Im still playing salt and sanctuary.amazing game.word up son
I really enjoyed the gameplay of the original except for two things:
1. Not enough environment variety.
2. The anti-gravity segments. Too confusing for my brain.
I hope the sequel can address these concerns.
Absolutely. Definitely earned a day one buy after the last outing.
Just started the first one the other day. If I survive, I'd be up for a sequel
