After a huge showing at E3 2021 last month, Ubisoft has made the decision to delay co-op spin-off Rainbow Six Extraction until “January 2022”. The title had been due out in September, but looks like it’ll need a little more time in the oven. It’s the second delay of the day from the French publisher, with Riders Republic also unseated until October.
“We are embracing the opportunity to take additional time to bring this vision to life in the way it deserves in January 2022,” a spokesperson said. “We are confident this will ensure Rainbow Six Extraction is the immersive, cooperative, and thrilling experience we set out to create, and the one you aspire to play.”
More details will be shared in the near-future, but you’re going to have to make do with Rainbow Six Siege for the rest of the year.

Of course it is, Infact most games slated for this year are going to be/already have been delayed til 2022, and the developers knew all along
I wonder if they weren't ready to share the space with an other pve coop game like back 4 blood . I have been waiting for this game for a bit now but honestly I'd almost want them to scrap the space sifi stuff and actually make something more grounded
Ubisoft delays most of their games to fit into release slots they map out to maximize profit. Regardless of what they say, that's the true reason it's been pushed back.
Rainbow Six...Aliens... Nah.Meh.Pass.
this and Skulls and Bones 😂. But I feel September was maybe a bit too close to the Oct/Nov period where we have BF/COD/Halo launching (don't know when's the last time they launched together probably 2015 with Halo 5 ?)
Maybe they found the response to a Rainbow Six game with Aliens wasn’t what their insane minds expected (compared to an actual R6 game with Rainbow Six Vegas or earlier DNA) …or they haven’t quite found a way to add enough microtransactions & game passes & need more time to find ways to milk our teats
another massive flop from Ubisoft, no one cares about this game
