The opening move for Tales of Arise has been made public, and we must admit, it's got us feeling the hype. Complete with some catchy Japanese rock, it's a pretty standard anime-style opening, but we're loving the look of the game's world and characters.
You can find the English opening above (same animation, just English lyrics), and the Japanese version below (with Japanese lyrics).
The good news is that Tales of Arise isn't far off. The action RPG is still on track for its 10th September release date, launching on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Its by no means the best Tales Opening, but its definitely great and screams Tales.
Super hyped for the game. It's looking damn good.
Definitely hype. I would go as far to say that was sick!
Ufotable doesn't disappoint. I still think Zestiria had the banger one (even if the game wasn't that good).
I'm so tempted to press play on the video and watch it...but maybe I shouldnt?!?
...hmm maybe I should.
Decisions, decisions...aahh!
This is great. Fully hyped now.
Just throwing it out there: There is TWO opening versions (Same animation). The JP (Linked in article), but also an English version (EN Lyrics), uploaded on Bandai EU's Youtube.
So, are they going to completely block out all screenshots again? I noticed Berseria didn't allow me to and after a quick Google search, I found out a few Tales games blocked this feature entirely.
I've been taking screenshots and video of nearly every game I play for years. The introduction of photo mode into tons of games has only increased my desire to do so. So much so I have nearly as much time spent on photo capture as I do time spent playing a game. I was in quite a few screenshot groups on PS4 communities before Sony annoyingly decided to do away with them.
So hyped for this game. Hopefully locked 60fps on PS5.
Scarlet Nexus and R&C have been rock solid even when it gets crazy. Fantastic way to play - It is a new Gen, so no excuses from publishers.
This opening is good, I can already see myself always not skipping this intro when I play the game on september 😃
Not a fan of the English version of the song. Japanese is standard anime affair - which is not a bad thing!
Neat opening, I didn't watch much so it's fresh when I start the game.
This got me excited, if the combat lives up to the hype of being more dynamic, this might get me to dive in
ok ok...I watched it.
Actually, it really reminds me of Xillia. Opening with clouds and time passing and ending with a flythrough of the cast in a grassy field from above. Very similar.
With that said, it's not bad. Just, not as charming as earlier ones in the series. I think the art style has something to do with it too.
