Not crazy about it being a remake but I'm happy that Dead Space was announced
Much like every one of these showcases this year…. You can’t help but feel…. “Was that it?!?”
A remake..i was hoping for a reboot but if its a remake in the same way bluepoint remade demon souls then i guess it will be good...but this is EA and they are pretty lazy when it comes to remasters..
@Residentsteven dead space 3 is an abomination
@Residentsteven 3 Better then 1 what?
i wanted a dead space trilogy remaster first then a remake
I wonder if the military will be able to handle one Necromorph landing on its ship in the remake?? 🤔
Not really worth a showcase was it? Honestly they should have waited for Skate to be shown off along with the Dead Space teaser
GRID Legends +1 and intrigued by Lost in Random Rolls
@Northern_munkey It running on a entirely new engine, EA's Frostbute Engine. So expect it not to just be a simple HD upscale, and will be remade like Demon's Souls.
Dead Space 2 will always haunt me since I only missed one achievement for that game. You can only save 3 times and each death sends you back to your last save.
@Northern_munkey I don't understand why you'd want a reboot and especially when the original creators aren't even working on it. I'm glad that it is a remake
dead space trilogy was very enjoyable for me, i dont wana see any online nonsense or loot crates , E.A broke up
visceral still a sore point for me. this reboot might be a complete shambles.
Who would've thought we'd get Dead Space remake before a new Silent Hill, huh? I know the authors on this website are livid.
@Residentsteven Part 2 is awsome, Part 1 is classic ***** i love it.
@Nepp67 its ok i dont need you to understand but thanks for being concerned..
@Floki lets hope its a good one..
Dead space 3 isnt so bad they just made the enemies bullet sponges and universal ammo which made it into a shooter rather than survial horror. The rest of dead space is there and i didnt actually mind the co-op option
@Northern_munkey Jeez buddy, condescending much?
Maybe..i just voiced an oppinion or a personal preference if you will..you feel the need to understand why i'd prefer a reboot over a remake almost as if in some way you feel i should explain myself and i'm simply letting you know nicely that while your concerns are appreciated they are not needed..so sorry if i upset you there..
@Slippship I would absolutely love a new TOCA game, the only racer to truly nail the touring cars genre for me. I could only imagine how kool this would be on next gen systems too!
@Flaming_Kaiser he meant Isaac’s character was better because he actually had a character instead of only a name, gender and occupation. Nothing else.
@ScottyG I keep meaning to load up DS2 after completing the first one earlier this year again, And whilst I’ve never completed the second, I’d love to just go hard for that trophy now to get some justice.
@BanterousBarnzy97
I actually preferred the more silent Isaac on the first game.
Gave me real Metroid vibes playing that game, except with gory deaths and kills.
No word on what they’re gonna do a super mega baseball? I believe they bought that game?
@TheRedComet I definitely didn’t mind silent Isaac, and for most of the first game it makes sense that he’s silent. Wether he’s stunned, terrified or just doesn’t have anything to say other than HRNGH. It would be nice for him to reply to the people that he is talking to. Even if in just agreement. Instead of doing nothing but what the people around him tell him to do. If I was Isaac, the first thing I’d be doing is looking for my wife, not following orders on a maze full of death and despair. ***** orders. I’m the only one here that can fix anything around them. I say they listen to me.
@Northern_munkey from the rumor it sounds more like a remake like resident evil 2 then demon souls.
@Nepp67 The franchise has been on ice for 8 years, and most fans were disappointed in the direction it went. I don’t know what a remake does for the future of the series. Remake 2 & 3? Gauge interest and then start over with a reboot or a DS4?
It’s like they’re just conceding the future of the sub-genre to Callisto Protocol, which is probably for the best.
@BanterousBarnzy97 Oh that i can see but the horror was top notch in the first game. 😁
