Disco Elysium: The Final Cut launched digitally across PlayStation 5 and PS4 earlier this year to a wave of high praise, but if you were holding off for those boxed copies, then there are now just a few months to wait. Physical versions of the RPG will ship on 9th November 2021, with the base version costing $39.99. It includes a free upgrade to the PS5 version, a foldout poster measuring 18" by 24", and a 190+ page digital artbook. Pre-orders should be going live at online retailers around the world shortly.
However, if you really want to splash the cash, a $249.99 collector's edition is also being offered. You can pre-order it right now over on iam8bit, and it comes packaged in a premium box with a Mind Totem vinyl sculpture, 190+ page hardback artbook, a fabric map, and a physical copy of the game with a reversible cover inside.
When we reviewed the PS5 version of Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, we showered it with praise in a 9/10 review. "Expertly written, it's an utterly engrossing detective drama at its best, and a fantastic sense of humour keeps the whole thing grounded. Its deliberately slow and methodical pacing won't be for everyone, but once you're invested, it's incredibly hard to put down. A haunting video game, for all the right reasons." Now you can own that experience physically.

Probably don’t go near iam8bit. I ordered this soundtrack and Persona 5’s about a year ago and they still haven’t arrived.
My favourite game of the year I reckon, picked it up in the recent sale and absolutely loved it.
A fantastic game!!
Ps4 only? Seems strange.
@nessisonett Thats probably why they dont do PayPal with the refunds. Plus they have insane prices with some mediocre Collector's Editions.
@Gloamin If they were judging how many to produce then there wouldn’t be limits on the number of copies, surely? There was definitely only a certain amount of copies to buy which is why I jumped on it.
Glad I waited. Just preordered. Been looking forward to this for a while!
Can only recommend this. Bought it couple months ago and was fantastic from start to finish.
@nessisonett The delivery and import costs are crazy too. €50.00 p&p + customs for my last order from them.
Nothing short of them being the only place I could buy a physical copy of a hypothetical new Golden Axe game will ever see me give them money again.
It's such a shame that iam8bit is releasing it as importing it to the Netherlands will cost too much.
Bought this in a sale and not played it yet. I really should get round to it.
@nessisonett Yikes. Even LRG isn't that slow. Appreciate the warning.
One my wishlist for sure, waiting for a good sale on ps store ps4, 250bucks is crazy though for a few trinkets, got to be kidding.
Publishers sure seem to try get more always from gamers, like the scummy practice of day 1 dlc, especially small add-ons like wrc10 has, 2 cars for 7$ each , 1 track for 7$,etc.
End up paying 30 to 50% more for what should be included, in the case of wrc10, average at best quality addons for cars.
So… are they doing a PS5 physical version? Other than the $250 collectors edition, that is? Even if it does have a free upgrade to PS5 version, I just don’t want a blue PS4 box.
Is it fixed yet? I've been wanting this for awhile but the console version was abit of a mess by all accounts...no idea how it still reviewed 9/10 before any patches
@The_Pixel_King Looking at their Twitter it looks like the answer is no - even if they did promise that earlier. Pretty disappointing. I’ll stick with my digital edition then.
Best rpg in last 10 years! PERIOD
@Weebleman yeh I bought it ..will probably uuuh never play it 🥴 feels like I should be playing with a mouse or something.
@Shepherd_Tallon Yeah thats way to much but it does have the PS5 version.
@TeapotBuddha That's great news then...I'll definitely be picking it up at some point.
@TeapotBuddha well another issue is I can’t read that stuff from my couch 😵
A feeling I’ll finally get around to it via remote play when a nice OLED compact tablet finally surfaces. If one surfaces…..
