Truck Driver PS5 PlayStation 5 1

Like the haulage crisis sweeping the UK right now, Truck Driver will take a little longer to arrive on PlayStation 5. The game had been planned to park on Sony’s next-gen system on 30th September, but is now targeting the end of October instead. The delay seems to be down to the postponement of the title’s Heading North DLC, which has been pushed back from 14th September to 30th September.

In a candid message, publisher SOEDESCO explained: “We believe there are still a few things we need to improve and polish so we can achieve the end results we’re aiming for on all platforms at the same time. It was a difficult decision to make, but we believe it’s the right one. Our dedicated team will continue to work hard to ensure everyone will enjoy Truck Driver.”

The company’s social media account does say the PS5 version will release on 21st October, but that date’s not present in the press release. It’s worth remembering that the Heading North content will be included in the next-gen port, so the delay to the DLC pretty much explains why everything has been pushed back.
