Each PlayStation startup sound has defined a generation, so it’s bizarre to see them performed acapella by YouTube group Maytree. From the bowel rumbling bass of the PS1’s intro all the way through to the PSP’s upbeat jingle, this is both spot-on and strange. It’s particularly amusing to see just how much energy is being invested into each individual sting.
The channel has a ton of other awesome pop culture acapellas, including this Grand Theft Auto one which we’re particularly fond of:

Very cool. I like their Nintendo one as well.
That gta is amazing
you wont see any kids doing the ps2 acapella because theyll be too traumatized from it .
These were spot on. I shed a tear at the PSP intro sound even before I saw the visual 😿
Tag line should have been: For the Acapellas or For the Acaplayers
You missed a trick there @Get2sammyB my boy.
Imagine my disappointment in that video after misreading the headline as alpacas...... It was cool but not playstation alpaca cool lol
The first couple weren't great imo, but from the latter part of PS2 logo through PS3, PS4, PS5 and PSP they nailed it. Lols
Absolute drivel.
These are horrible like the Nintendo ones.. was funny watching the top left guy blow raspberries for the PS1 tho lol
Edit: omfg lmao I didn’t see the GTA:San Andreas one I’m dying.. weee-oh-wee-wee 🤣
These were definitely better than the Nintendo ones.
Also, WTF, no Vita?
PlayStation was oddly odd, although there was a second by the end of the one for PS1 that they nailed it.
GTA IV was by far the best. I was immediately transported to Liberty City.
